trial day 52: REBUTTAL; #159

I have a question,

Are we trial watchers or seal watchers?

That darn seal is like a sunspot, you stare at it for a bit then see it everytime you blink, what is that about, grrr.

...ummm Seal is kinda off limits as he and Gauntlet are supposedly going steady.....:floorlaugh:

I think she only has a support group because she is famous (notorious) and these people are hanger-ons who will attach themselves to anybody in the public eye who is getting attention - good or bad.
I'm loathe to generalize, but many of the people who gravitate toward Jodi and others like her, seem to be lonely or have felt misunderstood or marginalized (real or imagined). They crave attention/validation themselves, and any crumb that Jodi might throw their way does the trick. There may be exceptions, but most don't seem like the healthiest people around. JMO.

Right at the moment seal watchers. I do not see any new tweets from WATs either.....AAAAAAAAAAnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnDDDDDDDDDDD it is 4:32

Can you imagine how much Jodi hates Walmart right now?

I lament that this thread will now be moving at warp speed. Because we tend to forget how awesome most posters are Damnit. Also...I see a lot of lurkers...join.

I know everyone's taste is different and I am not the art police, but as a professional artist I find her work to be an expression of her inner emptiness. It is devoid of feeling, connection, even the barest understanding of color theory. It is bland, flat, and lifeless. Sure, there is a measure of technical proficiency and a kind of "correctness" that seems a desperate attempt to appeal to a commercial interest.

I'm on the fence about purchasing the work, since those funds may be seen as benefitting JA, (or possibly alleviating a small amount of the financial burden on her family.) I can see why someone would want to own one of her pieces as a kind of "outsider art" or naive-style work. It is interesting to see pieces done by the mentally ill. I knew of a schizophrenic painter whose work is fascinating, (and VERY good.)

I think her "hand" art is very nice, even if she's not.

It annoys me that people think that she bought hair dye at walmart (if you are watching HLN)

The purchases Jodi made that are on the Walmart receipt are
Gas Can
2 Sunscreen
and
2 Acne Wipes. NOT HAIR DYE!!!

JM would have brought it up yesterday if this indeed was hair dye. And he did not. However, the bank statements may show if she did purchase any hair dye.

I got the feeling that Nurmi didn't expect Deanna to admit to a sexual relationship with Travis.....then he asked ...was it just once? No....was it several times? yep!

Nurmi seemed to be thrown off for a few minutes.
That made my day! Jodi was NOT Travis' first.
It also made me realize most of what she is saying about the "sex" is untrue.
I do think JM will point that out in closing.
- JA and TA had oral sex that day, she made him stop because his beard scruff was hurting her. She also said he never shaved that day (not that she saw)
*** Travis was clean shaven in the shower pics there was no ORAL sex given to JA that day.
Since I cannot believe the oral sex I don 't believe any of her sex tales for the day.
I've gotten cash back before at WalMart. The cashier told me it may take up to 45 days for a cc transaction to sho up.
I never have just a WalMart card. I didn't ask for cash... it was only $10.60
I totally know this was no "knife fight" but an ambush! Thus the quotes! That was just a figure of speech. It was obvious it was premediated murder. But the different criticism's I've heard from various commentators on TV are asking the question.....

if she could kill him by shooting him multiple times, why would she use a knife and get so messy, leaving blood of her own, and much more evidence to get rid of. Afterall killing someone with a gun is much more efficient??

Now i'm not questioning this, but the TV pundits are....that was what my comments were referencing. I think the reason for two weapons is because she wanted it to look like two perpetrators were involved (2 ninjas) and also she enjoyed killing him with the knife (as sick as that sounds)!

Another quesiton I have, is this.....Does anyone know what kind of car she rented? How big is the trunk in this car? She said she had her bags in the trunk. A case of Water from Costco in the trunk. And now 3 5 gallon gas cans in the trunk?? Not all of that would fit, so she is now caught in another lie.
Holly Hughes is driving me crazy with that quote.
I wasn't really saying that to you.:seeya:

I find it appalling that JW & KN do not tell Jodi not to draw the Travis's family!!
If she wants to draw her family & friends-fine,but Travis's family & friends should be off limits..just wow that she can get away with that!!
Absolutely. It's almost a form of intimidation and and her way of giving the victim's family 'the bird', like she did NG.
MOO.

Nice sketches that she is selling from trial BTW. Too bad that artistic talent was wasted on an utter ****wit.

Already a zillion pages behind.

I find JA's artwork to be soulless and immature. As plastic and banal as the most plastic, banal photo one finds in typical celebrity magazine. She might have been better than an average high school student but nothing worthy an actual mentor.

She sure is playing up the "misunderstood artist" meme though.

 or in my case a slurpee from 7-11. lol.

For us non-drinkers, Shirley Temples!

The only people who seem to sincerely believe her story on the JAII site are victims of prior abuse, who were not believed by friends or family. JMO

Hello all.. I am back, waiting for the afternoon session to begin. #JodiArias

---

I'm back too. That break was well spent - I had a nap.

'why' she filled up the gas cans I don't think really matters to the case;

What matters is WHAT that transaction PROVES... that she had 3 gas cans, which she lied about having. My thought is she knew having 3 would sound like overkill for a trip to Utah and also weighing the car down would not save on gas as she claims was her desire, so she did what JA does and lied about returning the can to walmart, and not filling another can at the gas station.

Now the jury has to say....hmmmm why did she NEED to have 3 cans, and why would she lie about it/try to cover it up? Also do we know where this gas can has gone? If she no longer has the can and this is after the murder, could it be with the other items left in the fog

I don't remember hearing about that - why bother getting your nails done if you know you're going to murder someone? I think this was totally to get her hair dyed. Juan would have had to check that out right? Unless she didn't tell him the name of the salon.

It also strikes me as odd that she would go to a Salon to get her hair dyed. If you're trying to be covert..go to a random beauty supply store, pay cash, dye it in your sink and call it a day. I think that her vanity wouldn't let her do that...
