🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 @ stark 3923 Juror #8 was excused for work reasons/conflict dates - he was told case would end April 11 not May 15 #jodiarias

Ok...if that's the case, and I do mean "if"....Then fine, thanks for your time.

But remember this - if you can look over at that family sitting in utter agony because they've waited 5 long years for this justice -

And then, you can look at that defense team - doing everything in their power to slither their way out of holding this beast accountable. Willing to sacrifice ANYONE in their efforts to help Jodi get away with this blood bath -

And, you can say to yourself that because an extra 4 weeks has been required from your life - That somehow that is more important than this family finding justice in this courtroom? I don't know...I just can't believe this..

Tears just sprang to my eyes when I thought that twice in Travis' life he was physically attacked by women who were supposed to love him. First his mother-his drug addicted mother who neglected him and woke from her drug induced slumbers only long enough to beat him for waking her up. I hate the woman and I don't even know her. I just hate what she put Travis, a little boy at the time, through hell.

Then comes Arias years later. She psychologically abuses him with her stalking, tire slashing and other crazy behavior until the ultimate cruelty-her evil, cruel murder of him. This poor guy deserved to be loved and instead he by some cruel twist o fate ends up with an evil monster in the disguise of a nice young woman. My heart breaks for all this man endured in his short life. He deserved so much better.

I think Wilmott was trying to insinuate that after the neck injury TA could not hold his head up so how was Jodi able to shoot Travis in a downward motion in the bathroom.
Oh, I think she's going off the pic of JA dragging Travis' body - dead, or nearly dead. There have been questions all along of how his head and arm were positioned in that pic, and since they have nothing to work with, willmott's going to run with it.
It will fail - JA will be convicted of M1 - IMO

Maybe he is a big wig business man ( hence the nickname CEO) and his business needed him to survive.

I find the posts about #8 being in jail or smelling like pot offensive. IMO

thanks for the tweet

but i find this hard to believe.......why today? why 4/25 after missing 4/11 by so much........maybe but i'm skeptical

guess we will see............

My guess would be the juror requested release, and there was some kind of procedure involved in whether or not to grant the request. Totally a guess on my part, but I'm sure it isn't easy to be excused at your own request.

:blushing:i disagree...
Juan pointed out in opening as he will probably address again in closing that the Dragging photo is a dead Travis. A dead person won't hold their head up. With JAs assistance Travis head was up while dead in that photo possibly leaning against her leg. Travis throat was slit while he was alive... Soooo
Jmooc

He should have followed it up there and not wait for closing. Travis's head was lifted............by her hand as she was trying to turn him around or whatever. He's clearly dead or near dead in that photo. The evidence is in his foot which is in a position that would indicate that he was dead. A conscious man who was defending himself would have a foot that was pointed upward toward the ceiling, not pointed toward the walls.

What's happening today? I have been in court and could'nt watch.
1. Any witnesses? if so, who and generally what did they say - what points did they make?
2. Any drama? What and what outcome?
3. Is court now in session?
4. What's next?

TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if cameras or phones (with cameras) are permitted to operate in the courtroom?

I know we heard ALV's phone while she was delivering testiphony.

Could observers, jurors, etc. take pictures with a device, either overtly or surreptitiously?

Interesting you ask.

A court watcher apparently snapped a picture of Jodi's mom. She reported it. Pics only allowed by court approved camera during testimony.

I respectfully disagree with you Ranchgirl. Mimmy03 is correct. I don't like it but it's true! One example, is Gabrielle Giffords......

Let's just hope none of this kind of information gets to the jury! But even if it did, it shouldn't matter. It is very evident she murdered him with premediation! She butchered him! Whether it was before she shot him or after, the only difference it makes is that if she indeed shot him first, he may not have suffered as much. If she shot him last, she tortured him! Plain and simple, and for that reason she should get the death penalty!
You are right.
Think back... She is alive but she was incapacitated. GG would not have been able to fight off a knife attack. She (if stabbed after being shot ) would not have had cut hands.

BBM: And he can blame Jodi and her DT for ALL the delay-stall tactics !

Panic at the state resting?

I feel jubilant. JM did a great job. Proved every aspect of first degree murder. Gave the jury more than enough to come back with the 1st degree conviction. It's all right there and the jury has telegraphed more than a few times they really, really "get it."

JA is not going to be acquitted. That's not even an option in my mind. And because this is not the CA case AND every element of the charges has been proven AND the murderess admitted the killing, it's really a slam dunk.

Ugh ... It's gonna be a l-o-n-g wait till we're back in the courtroom.
Jury dismissed until - Wednesday May 1st.

But .... Tick Tock JA ... time is running out.
Your time in the media spotlight is coming to an end.
Praying that the jury is as intelligent and common sense as their questions have lead me to believe.
Then ... JA will be put away from society (DP or LWOP) and will be forgotten as she rots away.

I find it hard to beleive he spent all this time and is quitting at the last couple of days.

This is the DT's reasoning for keeping the trial going too long. Having jurors leave because they hadn't made arrangements. Sad right now.

Do not be sad friend. Juan Martinez did an amazing job in this rebuttal.
In Sunday school we used to sing this little song
"Why worry when you can pray?
Trust Jesus, he'll be your stay.
Don't be a doubting Thomas.
Rest fully on his promise.
Why worry, worry, worry,
when you can pray?"

My sister winks at me and hums that to me sometimes in hard times in our lives and it makes me smile. Still!

A very good morning wished to you from the Netherlands!

What an interesting illustration.......

Who is that dapper fellow?

If this is true, we can all thank the DT for dragging it out this long (which is their plan, imo). The judge better stick to her guns and make sure that closings actually do happen next week and the jury gets the case by next Friday. Otherwise, it will be just another broken promise in a long line of broken promises to the jury. Such as the defense will finish their case by February 11. :floorlaugh: Anyone remember that little gem? Probably not because it was sooooo long ago now.

If the juror was excused because of work, this makes me not happy with the judge, someone who does not remotely seem mindful of the jurors, just takes them for granted.

JW was laughing at something that Nurmi wrote but looking to the corner of the court. Shameful no matter what. I don't think she was laughing because of CEO but was no doubt happy about that too ju st because I bet she'd still love a mistrial. I'm so glad closing arguments are next week.

The behavior is so school girlish...:fence:

She's asked this question before while pointing to the picture with the pant leg, stockinged foot, and Travis with blood running down his right shoulder, and his foot closest to the bathroom end of the hallway. You all know that photo. The 'dragging' photo. She wants people to believe that Travis was holding his head and arm up, instead of him being physically moved by JA, or his head resting on some part of her body while she holds his arm up.
ETA: and that the blood is from the gunshot wound to his head, instead of his slashed throat. → gunshot first theory of the defense.

The blood could also be dripping from where she stabbed him in the head!
