According to Sky in UK she will be back tomorrow.

Thanks.

Well this even moreso confirms my speculation for allowing all this badgering from Roux at this witness.

I do not think this will be allowed with other witnesses to this extent.

I don't think Roux will do his client any favors being so abrasive and nitpickety.

Ah, this goes to my query--now at bottom of P.9, where I asked why the Judge was so lenient in allowing repeated badgering of this witness.

I think there is a reason and I asked for guesses, as mine is.

Maybe the judge noticed that the witness is strong enough to defend herself against Roux ?

Maybe she would have intervened if the witness would have been uncertain ?

I don't know and so far, I'm also not happy about the judge :(

Dr Gerry Versveld is the surgeon who amputated Oscar's legs.

And here is an article about Annemarie who claims to be his ex wife, is uncertain of her surname and was ejected from court today. I bet she'll try and get back in tomorrow.

Here's story about her doing same thing a year ago with a pic her.:

We should not judge rashly - that was only the first (very short) day ;) and it is expected the trial will takes at least 6 weeks....

I am not an attorney, so JMO.

I think it is because this witness alone may be sufficent, or nearly so, to convict OP on PM charge.

She may be the only one with the correct # of shots in her police statement.

And her testimony destroys his sworn Bail affidavit in several ways.

1. It negates his claim of not hearing any response from the person in the toilet after his alleged screaming to "get out." The witness has said Reeva did scream aplenty before shots were fired.
2. Oscar's claim of not knowing where Reeva was is also negated by this witness, as her voice would've been known to him before his shooting from those screams for "help."

So IMO because this witness is so damning and near conclusive, and alone may make the case, the Judge is allowing so much badgering of her so DT can try to shake her. JMO

And it hasn't worked.
Stalwart is this lady.

Again I do not believe the Judge will allow Roux so much leeway for later witnesses, but I could be wrong.

Wild About Trial has video archives:

I haven't watched them yet, but before the trial began my feeling was that it would be difficult to get a conviction on premeditated murder judging from the information that was available before the trial started. I think it will come down to the credibility of the witnesses against Pistorius.

The one part of Burger's testimony that did go in OP's favor was when she was describing hearing both a man and woman screaming "help." This was before any shots were fired, if I'm not mistaken. To me one could infer that OP thought something was going on (otherwise, why scream "help"?). I was expecting this witness to say she heard yelling (like a fight). That's not quite what she said at all.

No matter how hard I try to see how this was a help to OP, I cannot. He has already stated that Reeva did not respond. If she had responded at all he would have know that it was her in the toilet cubicle or elsewhere in the house.

Yeah, I wasn't comparing what the witness said to what OP claimed but only thinking of what she said she heard. I don't understand why OP would have screamed "help" before firing shots. I find that bit confusing. Of course none of it matches what his story was, but I've already discounted his story and am only going by what the witnesses say.

I think the problem with number of shots would be if there were echos from each round. That would be entirely normal. If each round had an echo, unless the witness was an experienced gun user, the sounds may be construed as separate shots. I think there may be a lot of argument re the number of shots. I just hope the PT come up trumps with the possible reasons why.
