You know what, that sounds like two men feeling a need to impress a young, very strong, good looking man who made them feel a little insecure....

and he is so cute.. AND a boxer... he says Oscar invited him to the lunch, they had an ongoing relationship, so to speak, as Oscar helped him with training.. it wasn't a regular meeting of like minds.. just happened that day.. there were 4 at the table.. I might be wrong there. there was another bloke.. I think Oscar, Kevin, Darrin. and.. * big blank.*

then.. there is a total silence.. no one says anything.. everybody in the restaurant is still and quiet...

Oscar says, Im sorry, i'm sorry, Darrin, etc.. then he gets to the main thrust.. and asks Darrin to take the blame for it, the press will be on him, etc

And if he'd been prosecuted for that breathtaking recklessness as he should have been, I doubt Reeva would be dead now and he wouldn't be facing life in prison. :(

Samantha Taylor's sister is there today in the court so I guess Samantha is waiting in the witness room. She could be on later if time but I doubt it now.

Sister?
It couldn't possibly be Trish, her Mom?

You have to rmember this is SA, not Germany.

Carrying guns is fairly common there. Oscar is known to usually be carrying his.
Darren never thought it would be fired, and indeed several actions may have been needed to be done before it could be fired... And even issued a warning about one up.

For Darren he presumed maybe Oscar wanting to see his, and maybe show him his own or such.

Not making excuses--a very dangerous thing to do especially if the other person may have grave defects...

Yes... this was quite clear from what Kevin Larena said.. it wasn't so much that the gun was being passed around the table to all, Kevin didn't get a hold of it. It went from Darrin, to Oscar. It's hard to imagine that it wouldn't have had the safety catch on, and the chamber loaded at the firing pin .. I presumed there were 6 chambers.. .the one bullet could have been in any chamber and we'd have Oscar clicking and clicking and clicking.. but no.. straight up, one up. boom.

US criminal lawyer Alan Dershowitz joined Piers Morgan to discuss the Oscar Pistorius trial and called South Africa a "failed country". He also implied that there were racial reasons for Oscar Pistorius’ conduct on the night of the shooting.

I don't agree with AD's statements, do you?

What do racial tensions have to do with this case. IMO it is domestic violence case. But I guess the "intruder" was black.

Oh gosh, I didn't realize the calls witness Charls received all came overnight, because his number was read out in court. Over 20 of them. Including one from an International number demanding 'Why are you lying?'

That's really bad.

I read it on twitter. Is Samantha's mum going to be a witness too?

Maybe Sam's mum looks so young, the journalist assumed her mother was her sister.

According to the Telegraph, the safety caught on Oscar's trousers. The man has astoundingly horrible luck.

10.31 Aislinn Laing reports that In our previous story on the Tasha's shooting, Lerena said the gun went off because the safety catch had snagged on Pistorius' trousers.

Roux tries to get witness to say Darren offered to take the blame. Witness doesn't take the bait.

It was Darren who said safety catch was caught on his pants.

Pros tries to get witness to say he definitely heard Oscar ask Darren to take the blame now, but that didn't seem to work either.

This young witness is being given a much easier time on the stand, imo. Wonder why?

Nearly ground to a halt again; nxt witness Lupas? Dupas? wants an exclusion from being shown and pros forgot to ask 24 hrs in advance.
