I think Roux was expecting something. Maybe the 'cast off' blood splatters were his counter if needed. Strange that state didn't seem to regard that as important, but perhaps they think OP could easily say he must have rushed to that part of the room in his panic, before his balcony call?

IIRC it had already been stated that Van der Nest had concluded that all of the blood spatter was consistent with OP's version - so if the State's own expert makes that conclusion, there's really no way around it.

That's a very good point. Still, I thought they could retrieve deleted history and such (recalling Jodi Arias trial)

I was hoping they'd go more into that too but maybe there's a more forensically experienced witness to come and that's just the state's way of getting it into evidence.

for those who cant download the tv sthingy.. this witness, Mike Sales, is an older chap.. around oh. 60... maybe 57.. but up there. a bulldog face, big solid man. well spoken, and sways a bit when he speaks.

All rise...

Who are all the ladies in green?

I'm sorry, but deleted history is not evidence - unless that deleted history is retrieved.

IDK - maybe the prosecution was trying to show that OP wasn't watching the telly (as he stated in his BH affidavit), but was, instead, browsing the web looking at cars, and may have been deleting web history?

I have my computer set to delete my history after each sign-off. Deleted history means nothing.

Well, yes I do! His testimony and findings were professionally executed and he made some important points for the prosecution, particularly in relation to the sequence, behaviour and impact of each bullet...... but, BTW, I'm only an enthusiast in the science of ballistics.

It is the prosecution case that Reeva was hit by the bullet to her head while she
fell on the bowl, the impact of this killer mushroom bullet penetrating from the right side of her skull and existed from the left should have flung her head into the left corner of the toilet.

Roux ah he CANNOT say who accesses the sites. my mistake, SNAFU.

and that's IT!!

no re direct!1

bit of a change the exhibit is WW not VV. hehe. an announcement overtakes the court. in regard to the public holiday this week.

These are all nothing witnesses - not much to ask and not much to cross examine. All it shows is that the last activity was at 9:19

  • #290
That was adorable, lol.

  • #291
R: Your evidence is this, Cpt-er Col....you don't know who was responsible for going into those websites....or how many persons looked at them?

Col S: That's correct.

Both state and prosecution step down

And the STRANGEST thing just happened to Nel...an argument on his phone/computer played, by a robot???

  • #292
State is wrapping up its evidence ....

  • #293
Nel is working up to asking for a day off

  • #294
Poor Nel - he was told 'not to touch any buttons or anything' on whatever it was.

  • #295
  • #296
Nel expects to close his case next week! Only four or five more witnesses to be called by state!

  • #297
Who are all the ladies in green?

I think they're from an organisation for South African women agains violence (or words to that effect).

  • #298
Barry Bateman ‏@barrybateman 39s
#OscarPistorius Nel we’ll probably call five more witnesses and finish some time next week. BB

  • #299
Court is going to adjourn until next week. This judge is very reasonable in giving both sides what they need to adequately present their cases. I like that.

  • #300
What do you think it would show - a search for "how to kill your girlfriend and make it look like self defense" lol
So web history isn't important? There have been many many cases where web history has proved a pattern of behaviour, for example, Vincent Tabak and Stuart Hazell both viewing violent child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 before going on to murder two young girls. Why would you think OP's (deleted) browsing habits are of no significance?
