He saw no evidence of 'blunt force trauma' anywhere.

  • #202
her upper arm was ...dang.. I missed that..

blood stains on the right hand side. ubiquitous staining... the relationship with the staining and the hip..

  • #203
He is showing the judge exactly the same arm position for Reeva that ballistics man just did...but he has such muscle-bound arms, he can't quite get the same position....

now. says nel. the dec was moved, from the toilet to downstairs..

on the toilet wall.noted by my markings. you can see the indication of motion, and this would most likely have been caused by movement of the dec.. also in the bathroom.. stains the toweling , the area surrounding the cricket bat. transfer blood. staining of the bath..

the movement from the bathroom most likely orientating a person in an upright position, dragging the body thru, transference of blood from the body being spattered.. then carried downstairs..

nothing further.. Roux up

It is so sad hearing this. She had to have been just terrified. :(

Due to particulate matter and tissue, he concludes her arm had to have been up. Think defensive position - though I didn't hear him state such, he exhibited it. Arterial spurt no higher than the toilet - so she had to have sustained the head wound while on the floor. No shoe or footprint transfers visible.

We're onto Roux. Grr.

So this evidence is descriptive but does not seem to bolster the state's case at all

  • #207
N: The deceased was moved...how did you conclude that happened?

Col D There was mark on wall....towelling, area surrounding the cricket bat, transfer of blood soaked hair....the movement occured most likely orientating person in upright position/transient position causing pooling, then being picked up and carried downstairs.

So it was Reeva's hair sweeping across that bat that caused that staining...?

Roux up. Here we go. Think this witness may rile easily...

What???

Nel is already finished with his direct examination of this witness?

What about the blood stains on the wall above the headboard and the blood drops on the duvet?

I'm disappointed. I was hoping those blood stains would be addressed.

  • #209
Col D: Arterial spurt on wall consistent with deceased being in low position.

Now R brings up 'cast off'. where blood transferred through arm movement, for example.

  • #210
no significant factor of spurts is that Oscar retching? ..

walls above the toilet. no significant blood spatter. he confirms that her position was over the toilet bowl.

cast off blood..

you have blood on your hands you move your hands blood flies off. ( unfortunate phrase)

he reads out his statement, no further questions!1..

how very odd. the judge thanks the colonel.

colonel micheal someone up next.

There's nothing there apparently, other than staining that is consistent with Oscar's version.

And now Roux is done ...

Ugh. Really another adjournment?

  • #215
Oh wow. Another Col up. Col S.

Nel gets 5 mins to 'set up his computer'.

  • #216
now this witness coming up requires 'setting up'.. a short adjournment.

setting up'.. what does that MEAN?? * some sort of display or modeling object or..

  • #217
Alex Crawford@AlexCrawfordSky#OscarPistorius Col Mike Sale's next. Nel says needs 'setting up' be4 his evidence. Its thought he went to USA to consult Apple re phone

And now Roux is done ...

I wonder if he will use the low height of the shots to plead he shot low to wound 'intruder's' legs, and not to kill, now state has effectively proved that shots were low....

I agree - it doesn't advance the State's case of premeditated murder one iota.

Neither side (State or Defense) spent very much time at all on the blood spatter evidence.

  • #220
Is this the man who went to the US in relation to Oscar's Ipone?
