That seems an abbreviated version of what he had to say. It doesn't get into what he actually heard. I think we should wait until his testimony to hear the full explanation of what he heard that morning.

I am absolutely shocked to the very core of my being that the defence has published the names of private witnesses, ( as opposed to expert,police , and
professional witnesses..
this is unheard of. they may, as the prosector has, have given a approx. number of witness, but to publish the private witness list ?? with their names??
The witness list I saw never went near the names of any neighbors ( private witnesses) at all. For the obvious reasons.. they are not related to Oscar, or formerly involved with him , or interweaved with his public life.. that would be a gross invasion of their privacy and property.
the very fact that Mr Menalou HAD been identified as giving an interview to the papers would bar him from appearing as a witness.. he is tainted..
as for him appearing as a defence witness, if his newspaper 'interview' is to be believed, he has blocked himself into testimony that even Roux and Oscar themselves cannot cope with.

Witness lists are public information. The defense did not leak his name.
He has, as you said, gone public and given interviews of his own volition, so I'm sure he does not feel particularly violated.
He is perfectly allowed to give interviews before he's subpoenaed. This happens ALL the time. It doesn't taint him or his testimony. As long as he sticks to his story, there's nothing wrong with calling him.
None if this is any reason why he won't be called. And I'm certain he will be since his testimony, from what I've read, will be pretty beneficial to Oscar.
just read that OP has put his Silver Woods home up for sale. Seems the trail is going longer than the predicted three weeks and Roux makes a very high sum of money daily...no wonder he drones on. OP is in financial crisis...his sponsers are gone. No matter what happens with this trial he is a has been.
I read that already, where he says OP always had one light on at night. All the rest of it is basically giving a character reference for a friend that he considers as close as a brother.
golly no wonder witnesses are murdered....a dicey business being a witness in a murder trial in south Africa..

It seems as though most everything is "dicey business" in South Africa.
Once again, witness lists are public information. Anyone can find them. It's the same in the US too. Please stop spreading misinformation...
Mr Menalou , if what is proposed on the blog as to what he will testify to, places Oscar mucking about for 13 minutes before calling netcare.

What do you think about the 13 minute gap before calling netcare? Does that seem ok to you?
I'm not gonna say it seems ok to me. I'm also not gonna gonna say it's because he was waiting until she was dead before alerting anyone. That seems quite a leap.
