I thought Baba testified he called OP first?
According to this testimony now OP called them first. Right?

It appears that way, but I don't think that's a reflection on Baba. He either misremembered or didn't hear the first call come in?

Jan 23rd. 2013 msg.

about 11 o'clock.

Incoming to Reeva "I'm just in the physio Baba"

R: This is relevant to the shoulder.

"I'm not going, my shoulder is stuffed"

Another msg from OP to Reeva. I missed the date/time.

Roux says he has Reeva's website history and her cookies. Now expert asked to explain cookies to court.

It's an insult to the judge's intelligence if Roux believe's he can fool the judge about the restaurant incident, what a fool.

  • #126
He doesn't seem to have much explosive from the phone records compared to what a lot of people were expecting especially with the extension of the trial.
We will just have to wait and see.

Yes when I heard of the trip to the US I thought that they could have something substantial . . . As you said we will have to wait and see. Nel has an excellent reputation and I understand from reading it in a post on Websleuths the other day...that Roux and Nel have been come up against each other on four occasions and Nel has won every time.

Roux is also talking about WhatsApp's between Reeva and OP regarding motor vehicles.

He is asking expert to get all these. I suspect because he wants to show OP was going to buy Reeva a car.....

Teatime. Thought we already had it???

Roux has given the boffin a lot of homework :floorlaugh:

Roux is the man... why waste a tea break... the guy has a lot of documents to find

Roux refers to another message, but won’t read it because it’s a reflection on the deceased. He’s pointing the court to it.

This is an interesting way of doing things. It gets the info in front of the judge without having to make anything that might reflect badly on the deceased out in the public. I can definitely see the advantages of a judge-decided trial.

I think the relationship was going down hill fast Towards the end. I'd be more interested in the contents closer to the incident . Moo

Seems there wasn't really anything of much significance any closer than Feb 7th to the murder or else they would have been brought out for sure.

I think that is the main reason I had higher expectations from Nel.
Interesting about the past battles in court.

That question by Roux makes no sense, because he did not ask him by text, he asked him right on the spot to take the blame. Right then and there, while the smoke was still clearing from the shot, he asked Fresco to 'please, take the blame for this.'

The point he was making is you can't tell either way from that text alone who asked/offered to take the blame which is true.

Maybe that's why Roux is such a cantankerous old b*****... and OW too. No barristers, advocates or whatever you like to call them can stand losing. They are such an arrogant selfish bunch and I've had dealings with quite a few over the years and even those on the side I was at were the same.

Well, I had my teabreak before. Here's my empty cup to prove it.

Better get a refill I suppose.

iirc, Baba testified that he called OP (the "everything is fine" or "I'm fine" call) and then OP called back (short, crying, possible butt dial)

i agree, these phone records now indicate to me that Baba misremembered the order of the calls.

Today's testimony: First call was from OP for 9 seconds (possibly a mistake) then Baba called back.

Morning guys, thanks for updates Zwei... Can someone just confirm for me save me looking through. Reeves made no attempt to call for help and sent no negative messages of fear on the night in question?

So are we now saying that OP WANTED to accept the blame, but his friend offered and said 'NO PLEASE, let me take the blame?' ppffftttttttttt

I reckon he's going to argue they were looking online at cars together... 3 guesses who'll be witness to that... give you a hint... one is dead !
