BIB - factually inaccurate and just your opinion. You can think OP genuinely thought there was an intruder, but to claim that's the 'real' case is plain wrong, and totally premature.

OP's defense is precisely that?

I do not understand what you are objecting to?

My position is that I don't know if he is telling the truth or not.

The case presented by the State is mainly their contention that OP is lying. And (IMO) they failed to prove that beyond reasonable doubt.. in fact they failed well short of that standard.

I think Rumpole is simply suggesting that the state pehaps bit off more than they could chew with regard to the murder with intention charge. I don't think that's at all unreasonable.

That's the guy that I can not help seeing as Ricky Gervais playing a police evidence guy :)

He already said he found nothing of significance on the bathroom plate.

Roux said he might call him back to explain WHY he did not note/mention a higher "bat mark"on the door. I think there are photos of him trying the bat on that mark and those photos not entered either. But why the STATE should want to call him again I am at a loss to know? He was an awful witness. Finding an extra mark on the bat that he had supposedly inspected very thoroughly in the lab, on his way to court was a very bad look too?

I think that applies to all the GPRS events. Some are no doubt indicative of internet use.. but most are not. The only way to see actual web surfing by a person is to look at the browser history.. as submitted yesterday. And last use by OP was mentioned then... looking at a car site as I recall. Maybe that was just ipads... but no mention of internet browsing on phone by OP?

The 1:48 am activity on OP's phone lasted 309 seconds.

Obviously we don't have enough info to know what the activity was. If it was important I trust Nel will route it out.

I don't think he said it was not significant, i recall him saying it was caused by a hard object?.

I thought there may be some ambiguity about the damage to the side of the door with the cricket and whether they could have been done before or after the shooting . We know he shot threw the panels I wasn't convinced that he stated the other damage was after . Could be mistaken here

It seems both OP and RS's phone were on at 1.48, more precisely her phone went off at the time OP's connected to the internet. Can this mean anything, probably not, but it seems a bit of a strange coincidence and I know nothing about smart phones etc????

I have just been listening to lawyers discussing the case generally including Mrs Stipp's evidence. They thought it was very good that she admitted she had been mistaken in her original statement. It goes to her being honest and truthful that she had made a mistake and that, in their opinion, it would make her testimony much more valuable than some of the others.

That was also my opinion on that . She did it without being requested very early on in the investigation . I still find her testimony very compelling
And that of her courageous husband .

I don't think it's strange but it opens up the possibility that they were actually up at this time. Maybe?

Hmm, what was that bit about Twitter letting you know when someone tweets that you're following?

after Vermuelen - that’s it from the state.

#OscarPistorius Col Gerhard Vermeulen - the forensic expert who matched cricket bat marks to door - will be back after lunch recess

#OscarPistorius Col Vermeulen is not expected to take very long to finalise his evidence...that could mean wrapping of State's case.

#OscarPistorius Unless prosec surprises everyone, Col Vermeulen's expected to be last State witness. Will Defence take a day off to prep?
