As for Stripp's testimony Two sets of shots:
Could that be the first shots from OP to outside of the open bathroom window to frighten Reeva..? Why was she screaming so bloodcurdlingly if she hadn't seen the gun in his hand before she shut herself in ? Then could be the help cries of hers and screams and the second sets of shots .. He certainly has a habit of shooting to air as far as we know..

I have no idea what this means in terms of the law - I would think having possession of illegal ammunition is the offense, irrespective of who owned it. But who knows what the law is in SA?

Reckon you're right. Reckon they could now both could be in trouble, i.e. the owner of the illegal ammunition and the keeper of it, so I'm not holding my breath that uncle whatever his name is will be to owning up to his ownership on the stand, at least if punishment could be custodial.

The person behind the door was Reeva.
The person in the car was Rudie Visagie's daughter
The person behind the door was not threatening the killer in any way.
Rudie Visagie was not being threatened in any way.

The killer was not in imminent danger when he picked up his gun.
Rudie Visagie was not in imminent danger when he picked up his gun.

The killer walked from one room, down a hallway, into another room for the
sole purpose of killing the person behind the door.
Rudie Visagie walked to the window and shot the driver with the sole intention of killing the person behind the wheel.

That's by definition premeditated murder. Fabricating illusions of an intruder does not make it any less so.
Rudie Visagie was charged with murder under SA law, then acquitted.

Unless the story of a fight etc etc can be proven, I really think this will be at maximum a murder conviction.

Or maybe he could have shot her once during the first sound of the shots and then again during the second noises. We only have OP's version of events that says all 4 shots that went through the door at the same time . Beyond that we can only guess and piece together from witness evidence .

Seriously? You actually believe you know where OP was when he claimed to speak specific words written in his affidavit???

Lol, please don't put words in my mouth. How could I possibly know where he was if I was not there? I'm going with what was in his statement. His statement, I would imagine, is the defences case. A mans life hinges on that statement, do you honestly think they would blatantly add gross untruths on it? That statement was carefully thought out and most sentences and "facts" included for a reason. In any case, we are talking about split seconds here, does it really matter if he was shouting at the alleged intruder from the passage or 1m further, in the bathroom doorway?

I was only 10 at the time and it was a bit of a shock. I had a heavy duty winter coat on and whilst it was painful it didn't actually penetrate through the layers. I did, however, have a large bruise with a strange white centre. The lads were in a garden that backed onto a friends. I think they were shooting at cans or something similar, but there was only a hedge between the gardens so no fence to stop it. Also the gardens were very long (for the UK) and I was told that they were shooting from at least 200 feet away. Another 6 inches higher and I would have been hit in the neck :scared:

Poor you . Good job is wasn't a 9mm .
Weapons scare me .

I think that's kind of the point - he didn't feel like he could escape safely or quickly enough (according to his account).

Sorry minor but I can't resist it... total bull whatever. OP can actually run on stumps better than he can walk, (question of balance and speed, I can ride a bike at speed but I fall when I have to slow down). Both OP and Reeva can manage guns... and there were enough guns for both. The stairs to the ground floor are nearby.

But most important of all IT WAS A JOKE... pleeeeeaaaase !

Let's calm down folks. We've already been told about using !!! and ???

It's only opinion. Nobody has anything of fact yet, and we're not trying to change anyone's opinion.

So Pistorius got off the phone to netcare at 3:21:11 and was told to bring Reeva in.
How come around 5 minutes later when Dr Stipp arrived Oscar had decided not to take her in but try to"render assistance" to Reeva at the bottom of the stairs?.
There is something very fishy about this period of time to me, if you were told to bring your dying partner to hospital you would do it straight away.
Thinking about it, he was told to bring her in and got off the phone at 3:21:11, yet at 3:22:05 he answered his phone to Pieter Baba("Everything is fine"), can anyone explain that?, because i'm thinking if you were told to bring your dying partner in, you would do that straight away and would certainly not have time to answer your phone, very very odd.

THANK YOU for bringing that up!!!

Regarding the jeans: I believe it is taken as fact here that they are on the ground below OPs bedroom balcony. Where does that come from? How is that known?

I'd rather people didn't have/need them. It's scary how quick you can end a life. On the other hand, I respect people's constitutional rights.

I'm in the UK, so it's not an issue here - perhaps I'd feel different if that was all I'd known. Still glad I don't even have to even think about it though.

As we read Oscars statement he claims to have made shots then called to Reeva, then headed back to bedroom in the dark. Yet we know Mrs Stipp saw the light on straight after first shots.

It was only after going to back to toilet to kick smash door that he says he put the light on.

I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to live in a country where gun crime is rife. We are so lucky in the UK.

But...you would think he would spell it right in his contacts list after that long. Peet not Piet.

Contact - Oscar Pistorius
oscarpistorius.com/contact/
Managed by Peet van Zyl of In-Site Athlete Management (Pty) Ltd In-Site Athlete Management (Pty) Ltd PO Box 24. Barrydale 6750. South Africa. Phone +27 11 ...
Not really, Piet could be the term of endearment for Peet, as well as Pietie, peetjie, pietjie etc...it's a very common Afrikaans name.

They were actually under the bathroom window not the bedroom .
A photograph was entered into evidence showing the window above and the general location but they were not mentioned ,I don't think anyway
But I get dizzy some days lol

I have not read anywhere that he actually SAID that he chose not to wake his girlfriend. Making a level headed choice in the circumstances he found himself in would be difficult for anybody, even more so if you are a severely disabled person. I don't know if SA law recognizes mitigating circumstances, but if it does it should apply in this case. Without his prosthetics he is a severely disabled man, which must have an impact on his mental state, and I think it would be wrong to ignore this. Of course I still do not know if he knew who was behind that door.

Sorry, but my OH has two very severely disabled adult 40 year old sons who need care 24/7 so I can tell you OP is not a very severely disabled person nor a severely disabled man, and in the disability world I volunteer in as an independent advocate he would not be present and would be incensed if it was ever suggested he needed my services. Further, if you watch the video "The fastest man on no legs" you will see that even without prosthetics he was running around like his brother and did every sport imaginable some even just on his stumps. jmo

But yet he could easily in a state of high distress manage to open his locked bedroom door To go downstairs and open the front door quickly I am betting the key will have been in that door or not locked at all
I still think from where he alleges he was stood when he heard the noise right by the side of the bed Reeva was on and awake (as he has testified to ) the safest route out would have been back on to his balcony or right out the door WITH his beloved !! And the bedside panic alarm set off .

When he went downstairs with Reeva he was not in fear that he was about to be shot.

Think OP terrorizing / chasing Reeva with the air gun 1st, then her locking herself in the bedroom 2nd, then OP breaking though the door and chasing her into the bathroom hitting the window with an air gun pellet 3rd, now OP freaking out and bashing up the bathroom because Reeva was locked in the WC and OP couldn't get at her; so lots of bang bang bang bang noise going on, finally 4th OP kills Reeva through the door, a second set of bang... bang bang bang.
