The bathroom. The bathroom had the big windows comprising of three sections which slid along to open, and that was the one which OP said he heard opening .. not the small one in the toilet cubicle.

Yes. Either way he could not let his statement of not being able to escape remain in his court plea/statement.

No, not four texts/messages per se. Four conversations, each of which included many texts.This is where I see Roux, yet again, being less than truthful. The IT guy did point out that these were conversations not just texts but Roux carried on, as his habit, completely disregarding the fact that this clarification had been given.

So we are in fact extrapolating from 4 conversations that OP was emotionally abusive, therefore he was physically abusive, therefore he intentionally killed Reeva? Did I get it right that time?

Definitely, because it never made any sense when he stated it originally in his bail affidavit and just didn't ring true at all, him being so 'vulnerable' with the bedroom door being locked and having 'limited mobility' and yet then stating how he was going back and forth, back and forth (even "rushing" at one point) on his stumps <<-- and all that was before he claims to have put his prothetics on. He dropped himself in it there, so has kept schtum on his Plea Explanation.

The only sliding window in that part of the house is in the bathroom between the tub and the toilet room. The small window in the toilet room appears to be the same kind I have in mine, where the top portion pushes out from the bottom of it(approximately the middle of the window) to a maximum of about five inches or so before the latch stops it. I doubt even a small child would be able to get in or out of that one though a pair of unoccupied jeans could have managed the escape.

Nel made a point of asking if "everything" they had recovered had been presented to the defense and ultimately into evidence, I'm pretty sure that's an affirmative. The only thing that really stands out for me, without going back and reviewing that part of the testimony, is that it was mentioned it would have taken about 35,000 or some other ridiculous number of pages to print it all out so that says to me it was probably on a cd or some other similar type of storage device.

If there's any extrapolating it's from:

His girlfriend saying she's scared of him sometimes
Him going off in a strop because she's touched a man's arm
Him getting angry because she's mentioned an ex just once - even though he thinks nothing of boasting about how many girlfriends he's had

But hey - this is entirely normal in a healthy relationship that's only a few weeks old, right?

This is a young man who has already demonstrated complete irresponsibility with regard to guns, anger that can result in someone getting hurt & a childish inability to take responsibility for his own actions.

If you think that the above is all meaningless because none of his girlfriends have had black eyes before then words fail me.

This "extrapolation" makes more sense than a woman making a mistake = liar willing to commit perjury.

My other half and I have been together just over 5 years - thousands of texts and emails between us, quite a few where we're making up after a squabble or falling out.

Not once have I ever said, or even hinted, that I'm scared of him sometimes. Not once. That's because I'm not, and he's never done anything, even when angry, which would make me scared of him.

I suppose it's a complete irrelevance that Reeva sometimes felt scared of OP? She only said it once so she can't have been THAT scared, the silly girl.

And, excuse me, but a man getting angry with a woman mentioning an ex or touching another man's arm all in the first few weeks of a relationship are very big red flags for emotional instability. I'd also point out that past behaviour only goes so far when predicting violence in a relationship - at some point every single abuser hit someone without ever having done so before. According to the "logic" on this thread, this is an impossibility. If you haven't done anything like that before, it's impossible to ever do it?

Wait just a minute - that is a woeful mischaracterization of the "logic" and discussion in this thread.

Let's have some intellectual honesty here and put things in their proper context.

No one said there were no "red flags" or that all of those texts point to a perfectly happy relationship.

And no one said that it's impossible for an emotionally abusive person to become physically abusive just because he's not been physically abusive in the past.

I think those things are a given and commonly understood by all.

On the flip side, the "logic" is that red flags in text messages = emotionally abusive relationship = physically abusive relationship = intentional domestic homicide.

And just like you can't say it's impossible that someone could commit domestic homicide if there's no evidence of physical abuse; you also cannot say that "red flags" in some texts messages means in hindsight that Reeva's death was an intentional domestic homicide.

no. so THIS sound he heard on THAT night, feb 14 was a sound of a whole other caliber.. never heard before..

I'm not sure we know if he did or he didn't as I'm not aware that question was put to Samantha Taylor.
I remember Nel asking Samantha if she was ever at Pistorius' house and he thought there was an intruder.
