Nel up, says he's totally surprised that it's now NOT the defence case 'it was a double tap'. Says it changes his whole cross, in retrospect and he wants to do it again...

Nel, who cares - at least it dispels one of the distortions that Roux made

Shouldn't all this be for mitigation at sentencing

  • #263
This must be his new defense strategy:

Poor OP is a broken man, he is suffering already--no need for a conviction or jail.

  • #264
This is so unusual to me here in the US. This sounds like what is done here during the penalty phase after guilt has been determined.

O: My family's very close. Siblings very close...15 when my mother passed away. I grew up in loving home. Father worked away so grew up mostly with my mom....when parents separated things were hard but with help of extended family we never felt deprived....we moved around a great deal. Mother got remarried when I was 14.

If I ever stated on here that OP can't scream like a woman......I now retract that......he is falsetto .......wow

Still sounds like a man though, no doubt about it.

awww, poor boy needed to hire security to sit outside his door....I sure hope that MiLady is as disgusted as I am by this opening....

who CARES if he has a close sibling relationship, or that his mom passed away....totally irrelevant...grrrrrrrr

BUT - he was living with his Uncle wasn't he? So where else has he been living?

He can't balance yet thought it wise to run down a dark passage with a gun without his prosthetics?

  • #269
O: I wouldn't say there was a difficulty with my legs. Difficult when I don't have my prosthetic legs on. I don't have balance.

Now talking about med history, born without fibulas. First leg conical shape without foot. Learnt to walk 17 months old.

It's unusual for most countries I think. They're certainly far more relaxed regarding protocol in SA.

O: My mother was v supportive. When my brother went to school she said she wasn't going to do two trips so I had to do a sport as well...she treated me exactly the same as my brother and sister.

  • #272
I really don't want to hear his life story!!

  • #273
I would have so much more respect for the DT if they had gotten right into the FACTS of this case.

  • #274
O: Pros legs I had then were v heavy. I didn't really have the same mobility I did when technology got better....I think it was difficult for me to adapt; not thinking I was different then meeting people who thought I was. Just a couple of of occasions I was bullied.

So upset you got a new girlfriend less than 12 months later

.. not even that long, I think it was 8 months? (met in October on holiday .. on holiday, of all things, while on bail for MURDER!!) I've got no problem if someone has lost their partner in tragic circumstances and finds someone else, and it happens to be fairly soon after losing their partner .. but not when you MURDERED your previous partner!!!! She is probably all just part of his ploy to make him look innocent.

Is this about Reeva's killing or his autobiography . It's again all about him, sob story boring, get on with it !!!

  • #278
this has nothing to do with the case .. what the heck are they doing ? yeah I know it's to garner sympathy for him but just how much of this are they going to go on about .. get on with the case

  • #279
This is awful... I actually feel bad for him right now.

Now don't get all crazy on me... I know this is just part of the Defense tactic and I don't give it weight... I just absolutely hate hearing anybody sound so freaking sad... :(

I'll shake it off and get objective now.

It seems highly unlikely Pistorius not to remember if he shot a double tap or a rapid succession of bullets. That’s two different gun actions and ballistic expert said that it required quite a specialized and practiced action. Obviously two different thought-patterns to how you fire. So, why did prosecution spend that amount of time talking about it…or how on earth could did Pistorius not know how he shot?

Comparatively Pistorius remembered what he said, when and where he walked to different places after he shot her, how he the balcony to yell “help”, to the door to try the lock, to the bed to get his legs, to the cricket bat, how he told Steenkamp to call the police twice. Seems strange if his memory is that selective.

Also, he’s been so traumatized – though maybe dating, going on canoeing trips, signing autographs at the mall, going out to restaurants with a tow truck baron.

Added to say: Oh, I don't think I've ever seen a defendent become their own character witness.
