O: I come from a family where you don't turn up crying. My buttons were torn off one day...Next I got called into the head's the next day...there was a physical altercation....when my mother got there she said it was okay to stick up for myself. She gave my shirts to kid's parents, told them to bring it back when buttons sewn back on.

So sick of this life history! Curious though that earlier he said he wakes up at night in terror and can smell "BLOOD" and also that he climbs in the "cupboard." Weird.

Roux is really scraping the barrel to bring this story BEFORE the evidence.

He can't balance yet thought it wise to run down a dark passage with a gun without his prosthetics?

Look on youtube and you'll see him as a child running like a pro on his stubs.

This pity bid is making me want a green bucket.

Is he saying it's all his mother's fault now.

  • #288
I really don't want to hear his life story!!

ITA! What does his life story have to do with why he shot Reeva? :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Relevance, m'lady?

O: My mother had a pistol. She would often call police at night. We were broken into a couple of times but mostly it was her imagination. She'd call us to sleep with her...she kept her firearm in a padded bag under her pillow.

This is awful... I actually feel bad for him right now.

Now don't get all crazy on me... I know this is just part of the Defense tactic and I don't give it weight... I just absolutely hate hearing anybody sound so freaking sad... :(

I'll shake it off and get objective now.

He has hopes for Hollywood after the trial is over . Moo

OP said mom felt insecure cos they lived in 'not very secure' area after the separation with dad.

arrhhhhhhhggg...wish I could hear too!! :banghead:

Just close your eyes, and imagine a whiny, 'poor me' nasally toned voice, droning on, and that is pretty much it...

awww, poor boy needed to hire security to sit outside his door....I sure hope that MiLady is as disgusted as I am by this opening....

.. aww diddums .. bet he still sleeps with his window open at night though ..

who CARES if he has a close sibling relationship, or that his mom passed away....totally irrelevant...grrrrrrrr

Yep, plenty us experience tragedies early in life .. we don't all go shooting our partners because of it.

.. and what is all this rubbish going back to school, watching cricket, etc .. totally irrelevant.

When this trial is over, I think I'm actually going to miss Mr Roux... I've grown to love the snarky faces he makes...lol

Talking about high school, friends who are still his friends today. "I was pretty much seen as just one of the boys. I was never much of an academic'.

He was about to say she kept it under her bed and then stopped himself and said it was in a padded bag under her pillow.

I actually found it very offensive for him to be talking about smelling Reeva's blood during an apology to her family

I bet Reeva's mother has had similar night terrors. ::

O: I'd had a knee injury, saw a dr, he suggested I see an athetic coach. Sept 2003. Jan 2004 I started training with him, supposed to be for four mnths and then go back to rugby. He asked me to compete in a race. I was a bit reluctant. I went back to rugby then two weeks later coach called, asked me to go to US....

He is very confident, fluent and fast about his career trajectory. Got quite carried away and forgot his unhappiness....

He did rise very quickly, it seems.
