You might want to research closely what happened re [Carl P] Oscar's brother's trial for vehicular homicide of a woman last year. Including my research and posts at WS on this matter. It might give you pause.

Lol Shane, Carl p homicide case has no relevance to his brother. He was acquitted because it was simply a motor accident. The woman who died had been partaking in a motorbike rally that involved drinking a lot of alchol. The case didn't even make the news until this whole episode with his brother. All people who are involved in accidents where someone gets killed are initially charged and usually they are dropped, just as in this case. The state withdrew their case because there was absolutely no evidence to suggest he had done anything wrong.

He did have his prosthetics on when he returned to the bathroom to break the door down. Have a look at his Bail Affidavit.

I don't believe that the reason for the cricket bat was to break the door down (to get her out as he claims, after the gun shots).

I believe the cricket bat came into play earlier.

With regard to today's evidence, was it made clear whether any calls had been made to anyone by Oscar by the time the security group arrived at his house to see him carrying Reeva down the stairs?

Yes, but did he hit the door out of anger, or out of desperation to get her out? That's the question, IMO. And when in the sequence did he hit the door?

The forensics will answer a lot, I agree.

Roux has already put to a witness that the forensics will indicate that the door was hit with the cricket bat after the shots were fired and not before. The basis for this conclusion is that there are bullet holes in the panel that was knocked out. However, I would want a few more forensic details as it is possible in my mind at least that a bat could loosen or begin to break a portion of the door, and that bullets that later penetrate it send it flying off.

You would have to be pretty steady on your feet to fire four shots one after the other or the kick- back could land you on your . I believe that is why Nel put that question to ST and she said that OP's balance sometimes wasn't that good on his stumps. He supposedly had a painful shoulder as well to add to this lack of balance.

THe Judge on HLN, in his theory he thinks that Oscar abandoned the bat and got the gun b/c Reeva was pushing against the panels from the other side and so he couldn't break the panels all the way in. This would also go with what one poster said on here, whch is they thought Reeva was pressing against the door with the right side of her body, that's what shot on right hip area.

I do not understand how the guard could see OP carrying Reeva down the steps if he (the guard) was outside and there was a man standing in the doorway. Is this unclear to anyone else? Was he at the front door, perhaps peering into the house over the shoulder of whoever was standing in the doorway.

The guard also mentions the father of Mr. Standard (the estate manager) being there, along with Mr. and Mrs. Standard.

Then the doctor arrives? So that makes 7 people onsite at that point. 1.) OP 2.) Mr. Standard 3.) Mrs. Standard 4.) Mr. Standard's father 5.) Mr. Baba the guard 6.) The other guard 7.) The doctor

IIRC, the bottom part of the stairs can be seen from the outside, if the front door is open.

I believe it was Mr Stander and his daughter who were there.

I have 'said" that the medical pain patch (worn on one of his shoulders) may be crucial in this case for several reasons.

To me, Roux announcing (during cross of Sam Taylor) that the DT has photos of Oscar wearing this after his arrest is actually huge news... [And if so, I give kudos to Roux for honesty here, because he stated this w.o. proof during the BH]

I'm still trying to catch up but did Mr Baba mention anything about fighting, anything out of the ordinary when he went past the house at 2.20am during patrols? The witness across the road said she heard fighting and commotion an hour before the shooting ( loud enough to wake her up).

I must say that I find this trial VERY hard to follow - perhaps as a cultural difference. As I'm used to ask/answer without obfuscation. So many compound questions by the defense attorney that is being attempted to answer and doesn't answer what I thought was being asked is VERY confusing.

Again, this must be a difference in cultures? Or is it a difference in folks that I associate with? Dunno.
