My impression so far is that OP has great difficulty controlling his emotional impulses, he has been careless with guns, cars and a boat (all capable of harming others if not used responsibly), and he tends to blame others, rarely accepting any responsibility for his own actions. In court, he went so far as to plug his ears to avoid hearing the consequences of his actions. I can't imagine that made a favorable impression on the judge.

As always, all of the above is just my opinion.

Agree. I cannot imagine what was attractive about him to begin with, other than overcoming his disability with great success. JMO

Manipulative, arrogant, immature and most importantly of all A LIAR.

Listening to todays testimony, from the beginning, and some things don't make sense to me.

1. While OP was in Cape Town, Reeva asked him if she could stay at his home in Pretoria while he wasn't there. How did she get by security and gain entrance into his home?

2. Reeva and OP were looking at interior decorating things together for a home that OP had purchased in Jo'burg. I thought he was thinking of/looking to buy a home there?

3. OP helped Reeva with her work contracts? She had the law degree so why on earth would she need his help?

I'm sure more is to come as I watch more.

Ah Yes Dewani ..... That is the other crime that I find incredible to deal with and will be watching that one for sure .
I can't believe the UK allowed him to have a camper van inside the grounds of the hospital and also allowed him out during the day to visit family .

Oh, have they really?? .. and there's me been going on about how he has been in prison/prison hospital all this time (and how OP should be treated the same) .. ! :scared::blushing: .. well that one makes no sense either, then!

God, its just awful. If he is telling the truth, its stunning how your life can change in a split second. Take nothing for granted!

He ended Reeva's life by killing her.

He changed his own life because how he killed her is unlawful murder, for which he'll do time in prison.

And that's if he's telling the truth, which in all probability, he's not.

And the words from the Chair SA Gunowners' Association couldn't be any clearer...."When one says that he heard that sort of noise, then before he realized it, 4 shots had been fired, that just does not ring right"

Hello I just started watching the live streams and archives. Is there a site that shows OP as he's testifying?

From what I understand none of the defense witnesses will appear on camera. There is not going to be a site that shows OP as he is testifying.

Hope Nel produces the shooting range log showing how often OP was there. No doubt very often, day and night.

For the poster who asked re visuals with Oscar testifying. No, it's audio only whilst he's on the stand :-P

.. succinct and to the point :goodpost:

I have to admit he's clever to manage acting out all that wailing, sobbing and being sick. If it is an act.

Thinking about it I've never heard an adult crying and sobbing so loudly. That's not to say adults never do. I have heard children do it, usually when they want to be heard either in protest or to be comforted.

After today, there still isn't a distinct motive forwarded by the State, for pre-meditation. Nothing concrete.

My only sticking point for Oscar's version was the witnesses hearing female screams. However, after today's testimony, Oscar claims the ringing in his ears, due to acoustics/ballistics rendered him unable to hear anything. I don't know how evidence can be produced to counter his claim.

Ergo, whether 50 witnesses heard female screams or not, this point is now void, as Oscar DIDN'T hear screams or any other sound whilst firing.

Nel still has to cross-examine.

Well a camper van is still more of a punishment than being out on bail :-)

Sounds fake to me. At 29:48 in vid the woman sitting to the right of Aimee seems to have a pleased look, quickly squelched, when OP's volume went up.

Take a good look at the glare the judge gives Aimee for her loud gasp & sobs

wow - just wow - that was some real pain right there. I don't think anyone could fake that kind of heartbreak. Almost made me cry.

I got very choked up as well. That was not faked.

More things that don't add up.

1. The stripper and ho message from Reeva to OP. OP claims that he was worried for her health after coming back from overseas. Now how does the stripper and ho comment have anything to do with her health?

2. Regarding the long message from Reeva to OP after the tantrum he threw making them leave her friends engagement party early. OP thinks it was just a bad day in their relationship, then makes excuses as to why he was upset - Reeva and her friend made them late, Reeva then had the nerve to talk to a man he didn't know, he was "neglected". He then changed plans, dropped her off at her home and didn't talk to her (or send messages) until she initiated contact. Now the next long message that OP reads, from him to Reeva, tells a different story than the explanation he gave in court, IMO.

3. Roux is not capable of getting his carp together and continues to prove this in court.

As an aside, my two pups are getting rather aggravated with me speaking out comments after hearing the nonsense from todays court proceedings on my earbuds. I keep interrupting their naps.

MOO

O: That's the moment that everything changed. The moment I thought a burgrlar gained entry to my home...I thought I just froze for a moment...no barrier between me and the bathroom. ..they could be there anymoment. The first thing I thought, I needed to arm myself. Protect Reeva...I needed to get my gun.

According to killer's own testimony:

At best killer pursued and shot dead somebody who was retreating, and who killer knew was retreating after being warned to retreat.

That's still premeditated murder.

The king has no clothes.

I got very choked up as well. That was not faked.

But why was he crying? Was it because he is sincerely sorry that he "accidentally" shot and killed Reeva or is it because he hears how his story sounds and knows that he is going to face real prison time?

Weird how some people are choked up at killer's reaction to what he did to somebody else, but were never choked up about what he did to Reeva or her family.

Because he's reliving the moment he found his dead girlfriend.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say he's sincerely sorry that he accidentally shot and killed Reeva.
