I suppose I can only relate to my own relationships at that age and to those in the family about which I know a great deal.

They sound more like 16 year olds than adults, constantly having to reassure each other. I think they were both very needy which, IMO, is a recipe for failure.

It was preceded by a message from OP saying "I like you a lot too freak" and was responded to by Reeva with "freak".

I find it quite useful to consult the urban dictionary for some of these types of terms http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=freak .. (scroll down the page for more definitions, most of them indicate the same thing though) .. interesting ..

But not being a SA tax payer it didn't cost me to finally get rid of the man... still I can see SA wanted no delay, further theatrics, histrionics, or whatever so from this side at least I reckon it was well worth the cost.

I think Roux is trying to establish that the relationship was a loving one, in an effort to discredit the incriminating text conversations.

I have no doubt that it was an affectionate relationship. I also have no doubt that OP behaved in an abusive manner toward Reeva on several occasions during their very brief relationship.

Would love to hear what Gina would say about that event!

Bit ridiculous. OP having to read his responses from screen in courtroom but I don't think he can see them properly....

Now on to Reeva's saying about it being a sh'''ty thing. OP said it was to do with a meeting he had that morning, but I didn't catch where.

I hoped he would make clear what upset him on that day, but he didn't. Reeva was consoling him though, so it must have been something bad, I'd have thought.

Then Roux gets him to read out the one where he says: 'My shoulder's stuffed'.

I agree with you. She was going to an event with him and wanted to make sure it was acceptable. I don't see that one as being a big deal.

I thought it was that she wasn't going to it with him and wanted to make sure he wouldn't have a problem with her wearing it to the Sexiest Man event she was going to...

So basically we've now seen that there were loving messages between them every day until the awful incident.

There goes motive ....

It hasn't gone at all. There have been numerous articles on the internet written by experts in DA/DV on these messages, and in their expert opinion, shows all the hallmarks and classic signs of an abusive relationship.

Well, I think all those msgs do indicate a new romance with all the uncertainties....but I also think it shows some pretty heavy duty arguments, for such a new romance. I would have expected them later, when people are no longer on their best behaviour, as they tend to be at first. OP said that they didn't even see so much of each other in Jan, so the relationship was hardly three months, counted in times they actually saw each other.

Was the 'overseas' show he mentioned the reality show?

Actually, this wasn't really a normal relationship and I cant imagine how hard it must be to get to a stable plateau in this kind of relationship especially when its a new relationship (relentless pressure, celebrity, outside influences, constant spotlight etc).. I would never want to date a celebrity, no matter how hot or rich they may be lol.
