To give credence to OP's humungous change of details while belittling the State witnesses who also added things to their statements doesn't seem very fair.

The fairness is the same for everybody. If something's different, then he should expect to be cross-examined on it.

There's no point anyone complaining when there's further detail included at this part of the trial. That will be happening all the time.
If something changes from his statement, fair enough.[modsnip].

You didn't think he was just going to read his statement out and that's it did you?

Does anyone know for sure where the lady's jeans were found in relation to OP's home?

ETA: never mind I can see they are under the toilet window.

As far as I can see the Golf Tournament that OP was playing in ran from 4th-7th October 2012. The gun/sunroof incident was on 30th September 2012, as far as I can see. As the time difference between SA and UK is only 2 hours would he have needed 4-5 days to acclimatise? It would have been about 13 hours flying time fom SA to Scotland. There is a direct flight from Jo'burg to Edinburgh. I see no need to go via London. Maybe there was a misunderstanding about which day he did fly. He said he was flying "that night" ie, 30th September 2012. There must be evidence to support/refute this.

Yeah, i think we'll need to relisten! What I got was that he said he had bought her a designer bracelet earlier in the year and was going to meet her at a jewelry shop the next day to pick out some charms for it.

#OscarPistorius says he bought Reeva a bracelet, was going to meet her at jewelry store next day to choose charms

I do not believe that, I really do not.

Is Nel likely to cross-examine tomorrow or Thursday?

Definitely girl pants....but Reeva had been doing washing that day...maybe they just escaped the wash basket? You know like the other sock that goes missing thingo.

Well, I was thinking they could have blown off the balcony while she was drying them, but it appears the balcony is on the other side of the home, so I don't know. Very curious.

But OP says he grabbed Reeva's jeans to cover a LED light on the stereo.

Thanks...hmm, those look like they may be near to the pool area( maybe over the balcony??)..and definitely look like girl jeans imo..interesting!

Had it been warm enough to swim in Feb? My first instinct is those were not thrown out the window or fell because they are not crumpled up but kind of look like they are folded nice in half. I don't think jeans would land that way. Maybe getting closer!

Why would he do that? Did he normally cover the light or was it only to make the darkness more plausible? Seems incredibly odd to me.

It was thought by earlier posters that it would have provided at least some light in the room but it is odd that he would make a point about covering it.

Is it 2pm uk time reconvene? (2pm SA)

I'd assume Reeva has more than one pair of jeans, no?

In truth what would the gap be between reeva opening bathroom window and shutting toilet door?, 4 seconds?.
Not in oscarland apparently.

Did he say that he'd actually gotten a chance to cover it yet? Or did he go to put them over it and dropped them when he got distracted by the noise in the bathroom?

God, its just awful. If he is telling the truth, its stunning how your life can change in a split second. Take nothing for granted!

Yes... Although, I can't help thinking that if he's telling the truth, then he must be one of the unluckiest people on this planet. 'Cause billion little things had to have gone wrong, in the same correct split millisecond, in order for this story to work like he tells it...

Doesn't Op's balcony face the pool area? So they could have been on the bedroom balcony, falling down to the pool/outside area below. Very curious indeed! :p

Possibly opened window, went to toilet without shutting door tight. Oscar starts shouting, Reeva shuts door tight??

Reeva's jeans were found on the ground, below the bathroom window. Check out Juror13 Blog for the photo. OP just said that he had Reeva's jeans in his hands.

I imagine she had more than one pair of jeans and she had "done the washing" that day. Perhaps she hung them over the balcony railings and they got blown off or knocked off sometime during the night.

[modsnip] My point was that some here have continued to sarcastically mock and bash any State witness who had the 'audacity' to add details to their statements. The reason given was that they had been influenced by media reports and were therefore not credible. Question - why are some of those same people now defending OP for doing exactly the same thing?
