If it wasn't character evidence then what was the point of it all then? The only stuff relevant to the case was how his disability impeded or helped him and possibly how his upbringing may have some advantage to the judge's decision. All the award stuff, charity foundations etc is character which his team introduced for when a decision is made.

I didn't say it wasn't character evidence, I said I didn't remember. Lisa's post kindly refreshed my memory.

Yes, sorry. Wasn't trying to suggest this was something OP manipulated. I'm just a bit cross with Nel for that. I think he messed up.

It was shown on Sky news.

I think Nel's point here is he knew the damage up close of what ammunition is capable of doing yet still chose to load them into a weapon in his house to use on another human being.
