N: I've got a problem. Why did you say you were out on the balcony?

And here we go again. O argues he wants to see his bail statement, where it is?

And Nel points out he didn't say it was in the bail statement. How does OP know it is in there?

N: Mr P, please answer the questions and don't argue...if you argue you'll get into trouble.

OP by rambling away and not giving an specific answer to the questions asked is self incriminating himself :) It was very generous of the prosecutor to remind the accused of the dangerous road he was taking.

I can only duck in and out of here because of my schedule, but it is fascinating to me that one testimony evokes totally opposite opinions from y'all. (Including me). Wow.

:headache: :sleuth: :poke: :pillowfight:

(love the new smilies)

Lets hope Nel calms down and gets a grip over the lunch break.

At the moment he looks like wasting a lot of time getting nowhere.

He needs to actually focus on the issues left to determine... issues around was it reasonable for OP to think there was an intruder etc.

There is no point in persisting with "shots fired at 3:17"

I have missed all this but it sounds as though he has taken a leaf out of Roux's book. :)

Oh dear, he was misinterpreted on his original affidavit, what do the mrs stipp haters think of that?, it makes him a liar doesnt it?.

  • #586
OP finally gave a reference of time! He said he spent 5 minutes holding Reeva after he killed her.

Yesterday he couldn't remember for how long.

They're back....

N: Was it ever your version you went onto the balcony

O: In my bail statement it was said I went out on the balcony....at that time it was interpreted I went onto the balcony...I never said I went onto the balcony.

O: As I said I wasn't there when my statement was drawn up-if I could change....I'm sure that what they wrote there they interpreted as what I'd said....as I said, I never went onto the balcony to bring the fan in

WTH...he signed it. His freedom and life depended on it.

They brought it to him and he signed it???

Doesn't even take responsibility FOR HIS OWN STATEMENT.

Where is a certain person that ridiculed the state witnesses for signing legal documents & embellishing their testimony on the stand

Truth is easy, it never changes......lies on the other hand, have to be remembered.
IMO, we've had a bit of a mixture this morning.
I think Roux knows there are issues in discrepancies but is hoping to put the blame . Onto Botha, as the Investigator in charge at the time.

This is where Nel will have to make amends for the Police errors at the very start of the investigation IMO. And it is why securing a Crime Scene etc really is essential. They can't afford doubt.

I think Masipa will however be able to work out fact from fiction, as Nair did at the Bail hearing.

The fan issue is important, as it was not amended in the next statement, he may not have typed it but the one crucial fact is he signed it!

Yikes. Just stated his bail affi is their version. (I think he actually said their interpretation - either way, it doesn't sound very good.)

  • #592
Hahahah! Now OP has blamed Roux for his lie....

  • #593
N: This is where Mr R is saying the same thing you said (now reads Roux's words where he challenged Botha about something about the balcony)

OP now says his own attorney, Roux, has made a mistake about the balcony! OP was not on the balcony!

  • #594
You'd also have thought if he heard a slam then the 'intruder' would already be out of the toilet so it would have been safer for him to just stand at the beginning of the passage with his gun instead of going down it.

I put it to you all that the door was never slammed.

If Reeva was in the toilet, keeping quiet rather than calling out to OP, she would have closed the door quietly.

This hypothetical intruder (who thus far had not made any loud noises) would also not want to betray his whereabouts by slamming the door.

Thinking up an excuse as to why its ok for oscar to do it no doubt.

Dayum. OP is even throwing his own attorney under the bus. Wow.

:floorlaugh:

I keep expecting 'Its all a mistake. I wasn't even there that night' now!

This is unravelling quicker than I expected.
