Pistorius says he gave his counsel his version many months ago. "We re-worked it" - then corrected himself. "We worked on it together"

Now discussing a hairclipper OP keeps by the side of his bed. By the curtains, right hand side of the bed. Nel questioning where and when it is plugged in.

Where is this going?

N: How did police disturb fans?

O: I said they were tampered with, I didn't say they were disturbed....nobody said the fans were on, hot evening...and photo shows police plugging a cell in...

Funny thing is that after the initial photos are taken & the evidence starts to get collected the scene is then automatically contaminated by the investigation process

Ha Ha Ha no free sockets on the extension adaptor to plug in both his fans :floorlaugh:

This is such a weird trial.

I don't think I've seen many like this before.

ITA. I've never seen anything like it....and hope I never do again.

N:...Do you see the problem? There's nowhere else for the other fan (to be plugged in beside the hairclippers).

O: I don't have an independent recollection where the other fan was plugged in....

Nel points out 2 mins ago, OP said both fans were plugged in there.

O:...My memory isn't too good at the moment.....I am fighting for my life here.

O: I'm not sure where it was plugged in. I know that both the fans were plugged in.

Nel has outright called him a liar now.

Now lots of selective amnesia because he's "under pressure, fighting for his life".

Sigh. Okay - the police could have removed the fans and thrown them in the gosh-darned swimming pool - how exactly does that prove that Oscar never intentionally fired 4 shots into a closed door? How does that prove putative self-defence showing he was in fear for his life?

He is, imo, doing so much more damage than any good.

He obviously believes he is going to get off scot free because of his belief in evidence tampering.

maybe... trying to expose a made up story, versus just retelling the actual events.

op is also having to try to second guess where nel is going too

which is why he is veering from v assured to v wooly

Nel showing a pic of the cable, saying it wasn't plugged into the extension.

OP insisting "I don't remember where" but it was plugged in. And adds he didn't take the plug out or put fan there: "I can say that wasn't where I left the fan".

Hey, I'm plugged out with these pics of plugs!

In some respects. Oscar is acting a lot like other defendants who have taken the stand - many tend to get very argumentative with the State over relatively inconsequential matters. They don't usually reveal their CIC from the dock though. ;)

I think Roux has proven himself more than competent so this comes down to one of two things, in my opinion: horrible preparation or headstrong witness. I think it's likely the latter. I think Roux is jumping up to mitigate damage where and when he can. This was never going to be an easy case for any defence advocate.

MOO

He's sinking his own ship lol

I missed the first part of today's testimony. My internet service was out. Grrrrrr...

Nel is totally shredding OP's testimony about the fans.

OP clearly stated yesterday that the small fan was beneath the large tripod fan. Problem is: there isn't a plug on the extension to have plugged in the small fan.

He also stated in his plea statement that he brought in 2 fans.

Now he's been caught in a lie and he's trying to say he doesn't remember.

Three fans!
(1 lent to a house guest)

O: .....maybe it was plugged in where the tv cabinet was.....I never unplugged any fan in my version....maybe I ran from the door to the balcony and tripped over it....
