I accidently discharged my firearm believing there was an intruder in the house:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Nel repeats the question as OP not answering. But still doesn't.

  • #683
OP should have done the plea explanation totally on his own. He deserves this questioning.

no problem with that.

BH should have been postponed then. It sounds like the affi was a stop-gap thing rather than his statement. What a sham that he got away with that. He should have stayed in jail.

Oops. (Read as 'Oh, s&^£)

Nel is going to chew him up and spit him out. Oscar said he fired accidentally. That's not the same as putative self-defence at all.

Never meant to shoot anyone...after firing 4 times.

The judge just viewed OP on the gun range, showing skill and full control.

  • #685
O: I didn't shoot anyone. I didn't try and shoot anyone.

OP breaking down again....

  • #686
Does anyone seriously still entertain the idea that he is telling the truth?.

  • #687
Roux is trying to mitigate. Oscar didn't say he fired accidentally - the Judge concurs oh yes he did.

  • #688
By the way, did anyone else hear that? 'I didn't shoot anyone'?

  • #689
Good grief - now OP is trying to say that he accidentally discharged his gun. He didn't intend to shoot.

This is horrible ..

.. believe it or not, I had sincerely hoped that he wasn't lying .. purely for Reeva's sake, and for the sake of her family and friends .. I really, really don't want his version to be false .. but it so clearly is. Poor Reeva, bless your heart.

  • #690
OP is doing himself no good. He can answer some of the questions yes or no but he chooses to evade doing so.

  • #691
By OP's long winded answers and explanations and raising other issues, it appears to me that he just doesn't get that he is doing himself no favours only damage. I keep wanting to tell him to just shut up! He can't help himself as he is used to being in control.

This is what happens when your life is surrounded by enablers. Even today he's gone from barely being able to walk on his stumps to now running on them.

Rebecca Davis ‏@becsplanb 1m
"My life is on the line", says OP. Earlier: "Fighting for my life". Not strictly true. No death penalty at stake. Trying to avoid prison.

I thought he heard a noise then went to fetch his gun. Now he's got his finger on the trigger then hears the noise.

  • #694
N: Did yr gun accidentally go off or did you fire at intruders?

O:....it was an accident what happened. I agree with that....

N: Okay. I'll have to ask it in a way you understand it....

And gets the answer from OP (when he'd asked for yes or no answer) 'I didn't have time to think'.

  • #695
Ohmigod.

Had many, many thoughts in his head about Reeva, crime in SA, but had no time to think about shooting anyone.

  • #696
You don't fire FOUR times accidentally. There was a PAUSE after shot one. Shot one, without thought I can grant as a possibility. The other 3, no way. That was a choice.

  • #697
I thought Nel's question was valid: "Why are you emotional now, now that the questions are difficult?"

Too bad the Judge overruled him.

  • #698
O: I pulled the trigger....I didn't have time...I thought someone was coming out to attack me...I believed I was going to be attacked....thinking of what could happen to Reeva, people have been tied up...

Going on and getting emotional again.

N: Why are you emtional now?

Judge steps in saying Nel can't ask him that: "He's been emotional throughout. You can't ask him why now."

  • #699
Thank you Mr. Nel!

'My life is on the line.'

'But Reeva doesn't have a life anymore. Stop thinking of the implications to you!'

  • #700
N: Mr P, I don't know what you're answering. Are you thinking of the implications?

AND OP repeated yet again, 'My life is on the line' and Nel countered: 'Reeva doesn't have a life anymore'.
