Nel is using these texts to illustrate that OP has a history of blaming Reeva for his behavior, even when he's been in the wrong, and to show that his & Reeva's relationship was on OP's terms, regardless of Reeva's needs.

Totally agree, and am quite mystified by the posts on here this morning which have been saying it's all irrelevant. It's massively relevant.

Agree, can't understand all the negative reactions to this line of questioning. Roux must have put 30+ kiss, kiss messages before the court, so Nel is entitled to question just how loving the relationship was 2 weeks before her killing

I think it is very relevant bearing in mind how long and how much time they had actually spent together as a couple.
