Nel..yu didn't check the magazine..

correct..

Nel. you didn't say to fresco. this gun went off on its own!!.....

Oscar.. I told him you handed me a gun with a round in it.

Nel. did you tell Reeva that the gun went off by itself??

Nel. you told he don't tell anyone.. ??

Oscar.. I told her that . I didn't want the media to know a gun went off in my possession in a restaurant..

Nel. you didn't want to take responsibility..

Oscar. no. Ididnt want it to get reported and twisted and taken out of context..

Nel. you expected the media would print lies??

Oscar. yes. I .. yes. I . if people thought I had fired a gun in a restaurant which ws FAR FROM WHAT HAPPENED (?) . I just didn't want it twisted.. once my personal life comes into the media, its my living.. ..

nel. you didn't want the truth to be in the media..

Oscar.. I didn't want it twisted on me.

Nel. .. was it darrins fault??
Oscar. it was his fault for handing me a gun that was unsafe and my fault for handling an unsafe gun.

Nel. this is a good example for you not taking responsibility...isn't it??

Oscar. I did take responsibility.. I offered to pay mr louopus..

Oscar.. I don't think responsibility is having your life misinterpreted..

Nel. you are lying. there is no other way that gun could be fired without the finger pulling the trigger

Oscar. with respect. I didn't pull the trigger.

Nel. re the magazine. you don't carry your pistol around with one up? ( this means a round in the chamber ) .

Oscar. going into lots of teeny tiny detail re double mechanism holsters. oh I ALWAYS CARRRY one up !!

Nel. you and fresco go to the shooting range together??

yes,

Nel. and you would expect Fresco to carry his gun one up??

Oscar.. I wouldn't think it would be safe to do so..

Nel. ah at least you admit that it requires the safety off, and pulling the trigger.. ..

Oscar. that's what mr nel has indicated.

back to the messages. whatsupp

O: I carry my firarm with a full magazine....it's got a double pull

going into exact details about cocking the gun

N: After all that, you carry a gun one up?

O: That's correct.

andrew harding@BBCAndrewH#OscarPistorius is walking a narrow tightrope with these "accidental" gunshot explanations. And Nel is wobbling the rope with gusto.

N: I've already indicated you're not telling the truth.

Back to whatsapp.

Is a 0.38 caliber for a rifle or a pistol?

It refers to the size of barrel, general a quite large one. A pistol can be a 0.38.

N: Remember u said u were late, it was Saturday, you had to go training, lunch, you had plans?

Then, after O sort of agrees Nel says 'You'll be very surprised to find it was a Sunday'

O: If you told me it was a Sunday, it wouldn't change anything

O says his schedule exactly the same Saturday/Sunday

They are using present tense re carrying.

Does that mean OP is still carrying??

I thought he wan't for several reasons.

  • #348
Nel wants to know if Gina was the only reason they were late that day, 'If there was a burst pipe, and you had to see a friend?'

O says he doesn't remember, but it wouldn't have been because of a burst pipe. It was because of Gina.

  • #349
this is about the drive with Gina. Oscar had concrete plans he had to train he had another Olympic athlete staying with him, ( Oscar s voice gets really fast at these times, very irritated , speedy ) and he had to train . . Saturday Sunday, no difference..

nel.. the .38 ammo in yur safe....

Nope, he wouldn't be allowed to.

States he may have snapped at her but never yelled at her. Claims Reeva was never scared of him.

  • #352
The thing he says about spots figures having a level of narcissism is pretty true. Anyone who wants to get ahead, be successful but also be seen as the best, really, in all fields. Donald Trump comes to mind.

Donald Trump would take offense if you are putting him on the same page as OP on trial for premeditated murder,

  • #353
N: Have you snapped at Reeva in the past?

O: I may have got upset with her in the past...Reeva was never scared of me.

  • #354
There hasn't been communication, but I have spoken to him. Huh?

  • #355
N: You admit the ammo was found in the safe, and you have control of that?

And OP responds that 'several people had access to it'

O: My Father asked if he could put it in the safe...he placed it in the safe.

Nel says his father refused to make a statement, O says he doesn't know, 'haven't spoken to my father in several years' and N asks then why he was putting ammo in OP's safe?

  • #356
Didn't OP's family say they were 'proud' of his performance (sorry can't think of a better word), yesterday? Wonder how they are feeling about today so far?

Yes, I was astonished when heard that .. "proud"??? ... "performance" ??? .. wha???!!

  • #357
Nel just shouted a bit, trying to pin down if O understands gun/ammo safe laws.

N: That wasn't the question I asked you!

  • #358
  • #359
Okay. 3rd occasion he's blamed his legal team by Nel's count - seems like more to me. According to Oscar, Roux stated it was okay for Oscar to store his father's ammunition but that's not what the law states.

Hitting the point home that, being a gun enthusiast, there really is no excuse for not knowing the laws.

  • #360
Roux's fault again!!!

This is amazing.
