Captain Mangena has testified that DF's Glock cannot accidentally discharge. The trigger must be pulled.

I believe Mangena.

I think OP was stupid and pulled the trigger on a loaded gun in a crowded restaurant.

I was sure OP has previously said he was angry the gun was handed to him one up. I'm sure he pulled the trigger (which he has denied) but I also think he didn't know it was loaded.

OP said that he kept his cleaning kit in the safe in the kitchen area and the .38 ammo in the safe in his closet(for which he blamed his father). He did finally admit that he has left his magazine unsecured in his nightstand on occasion, well kind of... :/

So the ammo was actually in his private safe upstairs .
Thanks .

Perhaps, but iirc the door it opened up to the toilet as in all houses I've been in...inner doors open into the furthest room. Pretty standard I thought in homes. All doors open away from you as you move into the home. Front doors open INTO the house...bedroom doors open INTO the bedroom...toilet doors open INTO it.

It's clear from photos that the toilet door opens outwards. There is no mistake here.

It's difficult to know just how loud/deafening that would've been .. none of us having been in that situation .. but I'm just wondering if they are overplaying this? Sure, it must be pretty loud, but when something is loud enough to make your ears hurt, you stop doing it .. I find it hard to believe that OP would've fired the first shot, and then 3 more in quick succession if it was so uncomfortably loud, and he would've just stopped after the first one.

Not if you feared for you and your partner's life.

Sore ears or death?

They had stir fry for dinner.

Can Roux come back and cross OP again or is he done?

Ive found it quite interesting that OP has been ok to state his council misinformed him...I wonder if Roux had already gone over this stuff with him so knew OP would mention it like that...seems so odd to do that...is that normal and/or happen regularly?

He wil question him again

On the messaging "I love you" front, addressed by Nel.

2/3 months into a relationship, there's no danger I'd say "I love you" to a partner after that short space of time, even if I felt that way.

Notably, Reeva hadn't said it to Oscar either, so unsure why Nel's unfairly picking Oscar up on it?

Because in his Bail statement he said he was deeply in love and Reeva felt the same way. (Words to that effect)

Well imo OP failed the test when he once again refused to accept responsibility and blamed RS for not speaking out from the toilet.

Did he really suggest that?:facepalm: .. I missed that bit .. good grief are there no depths this man won't stoop to in order to protect himself?

He doesn't think its possible she went down to get something to eat without him noticing. (But obviously, she went to the toilet without him noticing.)

N: I'll ask you questions and you just try and remember. You arrived just after the afternoon 13th?

O: I came in, went upstairs, came back down, we had dinner..

N: What time?

O: Just after 7.

He says Reeva made chicken stir fry

N: Neither you nor she had anything else to eat that night?

O: That's correct.

N: That's rounghly 7 hours..

O: That's roughly 8.

N: Poss she got up later to eat something without you?

O: I don't think so

She did say "I'm the girl who fell in love with you". My guess is that she wanted him to say it first.

FELL in love being past tense.

No, he never said that nor did he suggest it.

And he was asleep by 10pm so he really wouldn't know what she did in this time

Onto surfing now.

O: I was surfing and busying texting my cousin Mr Binge, later I made a call to him.

N: And what was deceased doing?

O: As I said she was on the carpet doing her yoga exercises

In describing next events, OP uses exact same words of 'she called me to come brush my teeth' he used yesterday.

That still sounds weird to me, "Reeva called me to come brush my teeth"

nel.. tell the court what you actually rememnber.. not the reconstruction.. lets start.. with you arrive just after 6.30.. what happens then??

I went into the house, I chatted with Reeva, I went upstairs, came downstairs.. had dinner..

nel..what time was dinner??

about 7pm...

Nel this was the last time you and reeva ate?? can you remember what you ate??

chicken strips and stir fry vegetables....

Nel..neither you nor Reeva had anything else to eat that night.. that's roughly 7 hours??

Oscar.. 8 hours..

Nel. is it possible she got up later and ate later without you knowing? ?

I don't think so milady.

Nel.... upstairs.. in the room... you were busy with yur ipad... and yu later made a call to someone..

I was surfing on my ipad.. and busy texting, then a phone call to mr binge..

Nel. and what was reeva doing?

on the carpet doing her yoga excercises.

Nel. she is on the carpet, you are on the phone, then what??

Oscar .. she went to the bathroom and called me to brush my teeth..

and then??

she was just lying on the bed, she had her phone... I climbed into bed..

nel. what side??

the side closest to the bathroom... the left..

Nel. we know tht isn't your usual side?? and why did you ??

I had a shoulder injury.. I couldn't place weight on my shoulder..

Nel. have you been sleeping on that side since your injury??

well. no. sometimes, if reeva wasn't there I slept in the middle. ..

Why would Reeva slam the toilet door? OP has now added this noise which was just a noise before, not a slam. Slamming a door nearly always indicates someone's upset about something - unless there was some strong through breeze that slammed it shut without Reeva's intervention.

... and common sense should've told him that an intruder is not going to slam a door if they feel they have been 'twigged' .. they would've quietly sneaked into the toilet cubicle. He is mixing up bits and pieces of what really happened that night with his invention, and the door slamming is part of the real version.

This is what I thought and yet when I was analysing his phone records for the day before the shooting I thought there were 2 phone calls between him and his father .
I don't know how I worked it out but will try and find out again and post .

I know what you mean. It seems like everything about this case is so confusing. Just when I think I'm sure I know something, the info changes.

N: Why did you sleep that side of the bed?

O: Shoulder injury, couldn't sleep on my right shoulder
