O: Because I didn't want to give my position away milady.

ME: This I believe.

O: I don't think that's a fair comment milady. I never said I went to that bathroom to shoot someone.

Says 'my intention was only to make them flee'.

Now it's police or security

O:..again I screamed for Reeva to phone police or security again...

N: Just a moment. Of all your story, this is the most improbably....she was 3m away when you're shouting and screaming..

O: I agree, she would have been terrified...she would have presumed danger coming closer....why would she have shouted out? (breaking down)

My parents were attacked by three intruders on their plot a few years ago. Regardless of the details I thank God that my dad somehow managed to get to his hidden gun under his bed while both his hands were tied, my mother being held down by one of them. And shoot one of them before they all three made a run for it.

To shoot at danger in this country becomes a matter of life and death.

Maybe that is why, despite everything else, I 'get' that night with them alone at his home. That he reacted in a fight mode and not in a flight mode. And it is so very very sad that she was the person behind that door. And not an intruder as he perceived it to be.

That's why I don't understand Nel or anybody saying it's unreasonable that an intruder would do this or that. Obviously, OP is not going to think in that moment of high panic and stress, "this is unreasonable. Why would he run to my toilet?" That's what he thought the person did. And obviously he didn't have time to run through all these absurdities and impossibilities and stretches in his mind. He had zeroed on an intruder, quite evidenced by his statement, "I never took my eyes off the passageway." That's called tunnel vision.

Oooh .. Nel picked him up on having said the toilet door had been either 'kicked or slammed' and then said he never said it .. I missed OP actually say it, only the denial of having said it. That is really telling if he said 'kick or slam' the door. Mixing up/getting confused with truth and lies again.

I have to seriously wonder how and WHY anyone would be supporting Oscar at this point. It's almost embarrassing how false and pathetic his 'story' is.

N: She would have responded.

O: That's not true milady.

N says Reeva would have been hiding in corner if she was scared.

N: She's standing right in front of the door, talking to you when you shot her.

O: That's not tru milady.

Flee - really? So when he saw the closed toilet door he thought shooting through it four times would help them to flee. Yeh, right.

And please don't insult our intelligence again with that nonsense about firing the gun four times by accident.

OP really is a piece of work isn't he?

Ps Zwiebel - how on earth do you manage to keep up with your mammoth transcription task? Thank you soooo much, it is fabulous for those of us not watching the trial.

O: I don't think anyone could say where she would have stood if she thought I was-if she was scared...

OP saying she was involved in a 'similar incident in her life where she was locked away'.

N: Did she scream at all after you shot her four time...

O: No.

N: Sure AND OP is NOT answering. Big sigh, distress....

O: At no point did Reeva shout out or scream. I wish she did..(crying)

Lots of headshaking going on from the woman sitting next to June Steenkamp in response to Reeva not saying anything from behind the toilet door.

  • #474
Nail. on. head.

RT @barrybateman: #OscarTrial Nel: Reeva was not scared of anyone… except you. BB

  • #475
Exactly, Advocate Nel.

Steenkamp has been yelled out over and over, softly talked to. She heard him coming closer shouting to get out of the house, get out of the house. Call the police Reeva. She would naturally crouched down or have responded, she doesn't know if he's telling her to get out of the house.

Nel: Did she scream at all after the first shot? Are you Mr Pistorius?

Looong pause.

Pistorius: Milady, at no point did she shout out and scream. (sob)

Don't know that I agree with Nel.

If I was coming out of our bathroom and hubby started screaming at someone to get out of our house I think I would returned to the bathroom and lock the door. I don't think I would call our for fear getting away my position to the intruder.

Not that I agree that happened in the case but it is plausible.

OP recovers to say 'If I couldn't hear I couldn't hear' in response to N asking about him being deafened with his ears ringing.

Nel wants to know if it's possible a woman could have screamed then, as OP couldn't hear?

OP, in a corner insists he couldn't hear but he could hear a woman definitely NOT screaming.

N: You cannot get away with this time and time again, pretending that you didn't follow...

  • #480
Nel just proved when he gets caught in a lie he confuses the conversation to cover himself
