Strange a bathroom window unlocked and so insecure that it can be slid open from the outside. If the window was locked from the inside how would OP suppose an intruder could slide it open as only an inside guest (as in this case he must be claiming it was Reeva ) could have unlocked it before sliding it open.
Surely this would be another pointer to it being Reeva that slid it open and for him to check for her first.
Also he claims to have heard the slide before the supposed slam of the window hitting the frame, yet this was in an adjoining room but could not hear Reeva get up and leave the same room for the bathroom.

Well, one thing's for sure - Roux has definitely not consulted with OP while he's been testifying

Every lawyer I know would HATE that rule with a passion but, as unbiased truth seeker, I absolutely LOVE it! ;)

 • #163
Roux is sitting back with his spec arm in his teeth in observation mode...as if impressed with Nel's line of questioning.

OP says if Reeva had heard it she would have been as scared as he was and would not have said anything, she'd have got down and called police like he asked.

O: I didn't ask her is she heard it.

Morning thanks for the commentary :-)

N: You did not identify the noise during the bail appli?

O: I think I said I heard a noise but I didn't say what it was.

N: Why wouldn't you have put that in?

O: Milady, we keep on going back to the bail statement

Nel mistakenly said Reeva was shot in the bathroom and OP immediately orrected him to toilet.

N: You are such a stickler for detail...why wouldn't have you put that in your bail statement?

OP says it was written by his legal team, he just signed it and was tired and traumatized.

N: You see Mr Pistorius? Tailoring!

OP is giving a long explanation but I couldn't follow the logic of it.

<snipped by me>

I laughed so loud when I read this I woke up my snoring dog. LOLOL!

 • #167
He said he 'noticed' not 'saw' a window was open in his first affidavit, so it appears he had only just noticed on entering the bathroom.

 • #168
Ha boom there it is..""I'm not sure"

 • #169
Nel is flogging a dead horse with the speaking to each other element. I get up and don't tell my OH I am going to the loo or going downstairs to make a drink. I just get up quietly and do whatever.

Even if you are both awake?.

 • #170
Nel now taking OP through bail application and OP agrees he wasn't traumatized, understood everything, signed it but does not agree he wasn't on meds.

OP again corrects Nel on small detail of window slammed against frame, not somewhere else, and again Nel wants that correction put on record. OP says 'it's not a small detail Milady'.

O: I have full trust in my legal team.

Was there blood spatter on the floor? I don't remember seeing that at all

Yes, they just pointed it out a few minutes ago. It was right next to the duvet. It's really hard to see it clearly from our monitors at home but they pointed it out in court and Oscar agreed to seeing it. This was the first we heard about blood on the carpet in that particular area prior to today.

I knew Nel would do his homework over the weekend. Today is the greatest.

If you look at where the duvet is on the floor, it would not be possible for OP to be running back and forth to the balcony as he claimed to be that night. OP has been insistent that the duvet was on the bed and even agreed that the duvet being on the floor is a problem for his version. He says the police put it there.

So now jump to the LED light. Oscar claims after he placed the fans in the room that he went over to the amp to cover the light. In my opinion, this gives Reeva more time to get up to go to the bathroom and OP not to see her. Oscar says that he started to put the jeans on the light, but then heard the noise so he placed the jeans back down on the floor.

If the jeans are on top of the duvet, the duvet was on the ground.

Nel showing that there was blood spatter on that duvet, and also on the carpet in the same spot, I believe, proves that the duvet was on the ground.

THANK YOU!!!

Thanks to all of you who posted your explanations.
Provided much more clarity and I get it now!

Nel reads out bail affi, where OP mentions the window not having burglar bars, and OP now says he doesn't remember talking about the window in the statement at all, but if it's there, it must be true.

Nel again asks OP if he is okay. OP does seem a bit lost today, as though he is not following what he's being asked...

Someone earlier mentioned tranquilizers? I just saw this tweet on the video page I'm watching.

#OscarPistorius appears exhausted, medicated. @eNCAnews

Now Pistorius says that Reeva would have heard the loud window noise if she was on the bed. Yet she would have been as scared as he was…and he is adamant she would have said nothing. That’s why he didn’t expect any conversation from Steenkamp or ask her anything about that scary, loud noise before and after he got his gun. (Oh no, the silent woman...forever.)

Nel is pushing the point that the Bail affidavit should have had this memory detail of loud slide plus a window slam. That it was “two noises.” He says (Nel: “the theme of the day is TAILORING’). Nel states Pistorius did not add it in before as all these little changes are added in only now because he is tailoring the evidence.

The Judge is just glaring at Oscar. I am no body language specialist, so this is total speculation on my behalf, but I get the impression that she has had enough of his shenanigans.

 • #178
N: That particular noise caused you to take immediate action?

O: That's not correct. I froze for a moment...then I ran to get my gun.

I then collected my firearm from under the bed, took it out of the holster and told Reeva to get down..

 • #179
So maybe he had his legs on and shot holding the gun down at his waist? Versus in Charlie Angel pose?

 • #180
Nel has put it on record what he saw OP just did; crouched, arm tucked in, gun pointed.

They had a little skirmish over arming/ready to shoot/safety off/ in terms of gun. OP unwilling to say the gun was ready to fire, in exactly those terms.
