Lighting and geology. I don't get the correlation...

Maybe he is going to give evidence that someone has rocks in their head!

the date/time stamp may be set incorrectly at the original photograph - but unless the photographer is constantly chopping and changing the basic date/time settings - all subsequent photos will follow in sequential order from that point.

it is however a basic error by a police photographer - someone who relies on dates/times. imo

Thank you for this. I have to admit I was dozing through a lot of Roux's examination/direct. I must have even missed Nel's reference to it.

:moo:

He said that he examined the bedroom on a moonless night (the same as the night of the murder). When the curtains were drawn , the room was pitch black and slight illumination down the passage.

Well this sounds really stupid considering Oscar wants us to believe that he did all that frantic running around looking for Reeva AFTER the shots were fired.

Common sense - If it was THAT pitch black the man would have turned on the light if he was truly desperately looking for Reeva.

He took someone's life. And for that he must face whatever judgment Judge Masipa deals him.

Did he kill her on purpose. I still don't think so.

I agree with you except even if he did not intend to kill Reeva "on purpose" OP has still the problem that under SA law "on purpose" or what under the law is referred to as "intentional" does not have to mean that the person actually intended to kill someone in their mind.

The way I understand it, under SA law the "intent" needed for all murder convictions can also be proven if death was even a "possible" result of an action, or that an accused in all of his circumstances foresaw, or should have foreseen, death as a possible consequence, in this case of shooting blind 4 times into a door of a reduced space behind which the accused knew there was a human being. OP with his firearms competency test, with his worrying about ricocheting bullets if he had shot into the shower, with his knowing that basic rule "know your target and what lies beyond" will have difficulty showing that in his circumstances he was unaware there was a possible consequence of a death whether it was Reeva or an intruder he shot at.

As far as I understand it the PT does not have to show OP "intended" (using the legal definition as explained above) to kill Reeva for there to be a verdict of murder, only that he "intended" to kill a person, i.e. an intruder, and that he should have known that the death a person was a possible consequence of him shooting 4 times through the door.

JMO and understanding of SA law in this respect

Gee, maybe Mrs Stipp started closing her curtains after testifying against an accused killer. Who could blame her?

  • #367
The photo of the Stippe's curtains being closed can easily be explained away as they're probably permanently closed now because of the press photographers.

And we see OP in the background at times fully composed and looking all knowing. I can hardly bear to even look at him.

MOO

I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt earlier on in this case, and that it may have all been a horrific mistake .. but as time has gone on, he just seems .. and looks .. like a cold blooded killer to me.

  • #369
Of course the Stipps have their blinds closed, the defense has been conducting tests outside for weeks!

  • #370
Wow, still calling the Stipp's liars... I'd keep my drapes closed after all these people have been disturbing me by screaming outside my bedroom and taking pics.

I'm about the same as you. Have kept a very open mind but he's not looking good..

That guy kneeling - oscar has quite. A bit of stump below the knee... Not correct if someone kneels on their knees

Yep .. 'clutching at straws' springs to mind, again ..

I was just about to post asking why he was kneeling because Sky cut away from the courtroom. He's got at least another 8 inches below the knee so that's not really representative of OP.

So it proves that yes you can see a figure through the frosted glass

  • #376
Has the house been sold or does he still own it?

  • #377
I suspect Nel will chew this guy's testimony up.

I read that it was on the market - he's having to sell to pay for his defence.

  • #379
He was never on his stumps that night (when he shot into the door he either shot from the hip, or got down on his knees to make it look like he was on his stumps), so any photos trying to replicate this are misleading, imo.

Exactly Nel will be chomping at the bit LoL.
