Well.

Watch Oscar--again he is not looking at all at Carice Stander either.

I'm surprised they didn't break for lunch.

I find it odd CS recalls exactly how dark it was when she went upstairs to get towels, but not how dark it was when she and Oscar went up to get the handbag. And in fact, she just testified before that it was so dark she could only hear OP walking on the tiled area, but couldnt see him and she was really scared??

She can't remember if there were any lights on when she followed OP upstairs to get the handbag.

Adjourned because Nel want to see Roux, and judge wants to see Nel.

I'm sure she'd remember if she was falling over things in the dark. The lights were on...

Yes, I noticed that too....the same with her father. He looked at him only once I believe and that was when Nel caught him out with the 'mistake' question....interesting!!

Interesting she was afraid OP was going to shoot himself upstairs so kept yelling to him to bring the handbag down.

Dr. Stipp thought that is why OP went back upstairs...to shoot himself, but didn't connect it to getting a handbag for ID for Reeva.

During the earlier break I think someone had to remind Carice to say she heard a man scream, IMO.

Off topic, but it's 21 years ago today that Michael Moore, Chris Byers and Stevie Branch were murdered. RIP :'(

This is Oscar-Dark.
It is a quantum state of darkness.
It depends on how dark your testimony at the moment needs it to be for your allibi.

Oscar-Dark can be very dark at the appropriate moment, or much lighter if need be.

Oscar-Dark commnicated via Oscar-Speak from a crack in the Oscar-World.
Am I getting through to you?

She knelt one side of Reeva, OP knelt other, Dada went outside to call ambulance.

'I remember it was rather dark' when she rushed upstairs to get towels.

But didn't Dada testify that there was enough light to see the expression on OP's face?
 :waitasec:

the thing is, its two separate trips.. one he made while Stipp was there. ( the suicide run) . the other was when the paramedics were there asking for ID. )Stipp had gone home by the time the paramedics had arrived..

Now..Carise is there for BOTH of these trips. .. only mentions one. not the other..

Very fast, CS is saying how frantic OP was the whole time, how he begged her over and over to get Reeva into the car and help her. When the DR arrived, she went outside for a moment.

BBM

He couldn't get her out of that house fast enough!!

Very very interesting to learn that Frank the gardener was at the scene. I wonder if we'll be hearing from him?

I wonder if he is still on OP's payroll. I mean, gardens need upkeep even if the house is unoccupied.

I wasn't watching the trial when cross-examination switched to Nel. However, I was listening, and IMO there was a major change in Calrice's vocal tone and manner with the change. With Roux, she was relatively relaxed and talked readily. With Nel, she immediately sounded defensive and was less responsive - almost like another person. This might not mean anything, but I found it interesting.

I find that interesting too. CS said OP came downstairs rapidly, carrying Reeva. Yet there seems to be moments too long taken to (presumably) rush and get Reeva's handbag.

Long enough anyway, for Dr S downstairs to ask where he has gone, CS to follow up behind him, and OP still isn't on the way back. Instead, she hears him walking on the tiled floor, and has to call him to come out.

I wonder if she means he was walking on the tiles of the landing, or the tiles in the bathroom or what?

Johan Stander: "Broken. (pause) Desperate. (pause) Pleading. (shorter pause) It’s difficult to really describe. And his commitment to save the young lady’s life, when he put his fingers in his mouth to try to keep the airway open, how he begged God to keep her alive. I saw the truth there that the morning. I saw it. And I feel it."

(Uncle) Arnold Pistorius: You know I would say, the case is going, and you can judge for yourself - like light controls darkness, truth will prevail. And as we go along, because I know the truth, I know exactly what happened and I know, one thing, is that the puzzle is not going to fit where the State wants to fit it. It just won’t fit there...

Journalist: Yes, allegations, but those allegations [Tasha's, sunroof shooting...?] – did it come as a shock – is this the Oscar that you know?

(Uncle) Arnold Pistorius: Those allegations doesn’t come as a shock because they’re allegations, they’re just not true; I mean that is it. He’s not a violent person. He’s peacemaker. He’s always been a peacemaker.

I'm having a few issues with the terminology and blanket Pistorius family defense, from interviews on television to the perhaps even the testimony right now...hmmm

Actually Stipp was there for the paramedics arrival. It was the cops that he didn't see. So he probably left some time between 3:45-3:50am. IIRC, cops arrived at 3:55am.

But I do agree with you that from Stipp's testimony, it sounded as if OP ran upstairs prior to the paramedics arriving. I was under the impression that it happened around the time that he and Stander were calling the paramedics outside.
