Ad think about how quick the transition was from "Security, everything is fine" to "God please save Reeva!"

Now that's acting range.

In any film, only Oscar should play Oscar, and get one.

I fell for "the shirt was on backwards" posts here lol, and I'm not agonna fall for this one. Did he say "everything is fine" or "I'm fine." I've seen both posted here. tia :seeya:

Oscar is alleged to have told Netcare:
"Netcare, everything is fine. But would you send an ambulance here anyway."

Do you remember where you read that Shane?

I always thought that if OP did call Netcare, he grossly understated and minimized Reeva's injuries.

According to Baba's written police statement, OP said "I am ok" - that is also what's in the prosecution's bill of particulars.

Thought this was an obvious parody.

Carice Stander mentioned it. Oscar told her he had called for an ambulance but he couldn't get them to understand what he needed - something to that effect.

It sickens me how OP ran around in front of witnesses theatrically calling for God to help him and save Reeva, while doing everything he could to make sure she died before help arrived.

That one assessor (Judge) seems to have a peculiar interest in Reeva's ability to arm and disarm OPs alarm system. I'm sure that her colleagues share her concern. It's hard for me to understand. But I think that it may go to what Reeva would have done if OP had really told her to call the police while he was charging towards, sorry "Ninja-ing" towards, the bathroom with his gun yelling "Get the 🤬🤬🤬* out if my house!!!" Perhaps the judges want to know if it would be possible and easy for Reeva to simply set off the alarm? IDK, maybe that or Reeva wanted to go downstairs for a snack and didn't want to disturb OP? Are there any other choices?

Both Mr Baba swore to this, "Security, everything is fine"; and in one of the more remarkable exchanges between Nel and OP, I heard Nel mess up, and tell Op he said "everything is OK."
And OP kinda corrected him and actually said that he said, "Everything is fine.'

Is there a South African equivalent to the US Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)? If so, it might be worth it for someone in SA who's online here to make a request for that recording.

Absolutely! It's just extraordinary these recordings have not come out to either support the defense or negate OP's story by the prosecution.

I hope one of our South African fellow posters can help out, but from the little I've found it doesn't look too promising.

That all the 082911 recordings have not become part of the trial evidence is very strange. It seems to be one of the few pieces of evidence that is concrete (if those recordings exist).

"Compliance with the South African access to information law has 'decreased from the already worryingly low levels of compliance,' according to a new report.

"The 2013 'shadow report' was issued by the PAIA CSN, the civil society network that monitors the Promotion of Access to Information Act."

What was OP's explanation for saying everything was fine?

Carice Stander mentioned it. Oscar told her he had called for an ambulance but he couldn't get them to understand what he needed - something to that effect.

It was Mr. Stander that said he couldn't get 911 to understand the urgency. Both Mr. Stander and Carice testified that after OP asked to drive her to the hospital Carice insisted he put her down and that Mr. Stander said he would call for an ambulance. Neither said OP told them them already called.

Fooled Dr Stipp that he might be suicidal. And what about his apology to Reeva's family at the start of his testimony?

You have to give the man his due: Awesome actor!

Carice also talked about Oscar having made a call to the ambulance.

I thought there were bullets left in the magazine.

I don't think I have ever found out how many rounds were left in the magazine, but there was one in the chamber, as the gun was cocked with the safety off, according to reports and the photos.

Are you saying that because he could have fired more rounds?

Minor I went ahead and deleted a previous message because I may not be understanding what you are putting forth, and I don't want to make any assertion if that is in fact the case. So just to get this clear, are you saying that Carise said OP told her that Netcare could not understand that he was calling to request an ambulance for Reeva? And because they could not understand his request for an ambulance they told him to just drive Reeva to the hospital instead of helping him assess and manage Reeva over the phone while they dispatched an ambulance?

I really truly did not hear that in Carise's testimony, and I would like to listen to it. So I do hope that someone posts a link with the timestamps.

Wait...:waitasec: ....I thought he said that netcare told him to bring her in himself. right?

You ought to listen to Robyn Curnow and especially legal analyst Kelly Phelps on CNN. The latter in particular is a shocker - really bad in terms of not being balanced at all. She claims that Dixon was an excellent witness and Curnow described Nel's questioning of Pistorius as a 'character assassination'. Shockingly bad really.

I find it amazing that you can have such utterly biased legal analysts. I wish we had a teeth-gnashing smilie.

That's not correct. OP testified that he didn't remember talking to security at all

So Dr Stipp heard both set's of sound's then a man shout for help 3 times
Logic tell's us Carice Stander was awoken after the 2nd set of sounds, she also then heard a man shout for help 3 times.
Oscar's bail affidavit said he shouted for help before breaking the toilet door down.
This show's that no one heard the breaking of the toilet door, it back's up the theory that the door was damaged earlier(first set of sounds), and simply pried open etc after gunshot's.

How does logic tell us that? She estimated about five minutes between hearing the calls for help and the phone call that was received from Oscar, and she was awake for a short time before that. The phone call from Oscar came about two minutes after the second set of sounds. I think logic suggests that she was awoken before the second set of sounds and didn't hear them because she was some distance away and by that time had closed her balcony door. This might be further support for the second sounds being bat strikes as one might expect gun shots to be heard even in that circumstance by a person who was already awake.
