So let me get this right. This is yet ANOTHER couple where, after one of them hears "something," s/he immediately checks in with the other.

I am sure that is human nature, is it not?

I don't think it could be the second set because of his time line with the fixed time of his call to security at 3:16 which he only did after checking the house and discussing with wife whether to go or not go. I don't think there would be time after the second set if as is argued the second set was around 3:15 to 3:17.

Mrs Stipp testified hearing help x 3 after the 2nd set of shots...but you're right it doesn't fit with the timeline. I'm now confused.

It appears these neighbours woke up after the last of the gunshots, so their evidence about crying and/or screaming is immaterial as to the events BEFORE the gunshots that the Stipps and Burger testified to.

I think Mrs Stipp said the help, help, help was before the second bangs, but Dr Stipp said the helpx3 was after the second bangs.

Yep, just like it would be human nature to check with the person who you are sharing your bedroom with if you think you hear an intruder entering through the bedroom window !

Wild about trial stream damn near blew my speakers with how ridiculously loud it is.

It's even obnoxiously loud on the lowest setting!

My cat jumped about 3 feet straight in the air.

Both Mr. and Mrs. N have been following the trial on T.V. and in the media.

Mrs. N stayed in the bathroom the whole time. She woke up and heard a bang. She woke her husband who checked the house. She stayed in the bedroom and while her husband was checking the house, she heard "Help, help, help." Her husband did not hear this. He went back to the bedroom.

Both are adamant about this. They never heard a female voice. Just a man. And he was not screaming, but crying loudly. In a high pitched male voice. Mr. N made the distinction between crying and screaming in his language. He said it was loud crying and not screaming.

Doesn't seem odd to me.

I wouldn't presume to speak for the Colonel, but I see it as showing that unlike Pistorius, all the other people on hearing noises in the night MADE SURE their loved ones were safe. Didn't grab a gun and go storming down a passageway in the darkness.

Yet, Mrs. VDM interpreted the crying after the second bangs as female, and her husband corrected her.

This is what I recall too.

.. and yet OP himself said the 'help, help, help' was between the two sets of bangs (i.e. when he was running around after he shot Reeva, but before going to bang the door in with the cricket bat) .. so Mrs N's testimony doesn't even fit with what he testified, I seriously can't believe she didn't hear the second lot of bangs and yet could hear a man crying loudly.

Well, the circumstances were slightly different.

Nel trying to clarify that the next door neighbours woke after the 2nd shots, and only heard OP crying help x 3. If true the PT witness evidence still credible.
The order of events and the credibility is what Masipa will be tasked to unravel. And I don't see it is going to be at all easy so she may never manage to tally them all up and either discard it all or use some other logic to work it out. jmo
