Ah, he is saying it is not an automatic weapon. So you have to pull the trigger, relieve it, then pull it again. Quite deliberately.....

This is a defence witness, right?

Are they not able to bring in a non-functional (barred and orange-painted barrel) pistol for demonstration? This is the most idiotic non-demonstration I have EVER seen in a courtroom! How can someone who doesn't own or have personal experience with guns POSSIBLY envision WTF the guy's talking about???

Why can't one of the security personnel unload and make safe one of his sidearms and hand it to the guy for demonstration purposes???

Maybe I'm sleep-deprived, but this is really torqueing me off....

R: But does it mean...if I understand you, there are no grooves in the mantle but when it moves thru the barrell

W sums it up as the bullet, once it's travelled thru barrel, is a mirror image of the barrel.

I just listened to last night's round table discussion

on time wasting and Oscar's emotional state. - YouTube

At 5:00 Judge Greenland comments on the wailing witnesses. Says he "can't see where the defence is going" and "is amused from the defence point of view on this aspect of the matter".

0:00 - 5:00 comments on the delays in the matter. Says it's the judge's court and the delays are unacceptable, something should be done. He's very unhappy with the delays

I wonder who was phoning him?

He could also call it a semi-automatic, which is how the manufacturer describes it. Also interested how he got the high-capacity clip. In the US, only cops can get the 17-clip.

W: This bullet...it forms like a mushroom, when it hits the soft flesh...it makes a bigger wound ballistic..

His phone went off!

And Judge said nothing!

Oh, but she looks displeased and witness is "very sorry. I'm sorry milady'.

My thoughts are this is a murder trial, and in some cases witness' can be at some risk of reprisals, not to mention their evidence compromised. The friend like members of OP's family, live in Jo Bg. I'm not saying OP is like the mafia exactly, but he is from a powerful family as seen in the 'brushing over' of his previous criminal behaviour. I think she and her family have some reason to be nervous.

I would be hard put to agree with that but we all are entitled to our opininions and yours are just as important.

Oops. Mobile ringing, Woolie :-P

Hmm. So it wasn't a real Black Talon, it was a Ranger

W: With wood, it normally won't mushroom. The only thing that happens is the velocity becomes less...

R: Stability?

W: Yes, stability could be disturbed. It could turn...

R: It means it's changing direction?

Witness agrees it could. And now says he's done research "There was never a Black Talon" on the market.

It was me calling, asking for the last hour of my life back.

It's Myers, not Myer. If it's possessive, it's Myers'. She also means implies his chivalry in court, not infers. And as far as "something to be wonder about Pistorius mental state," yeah, that one's right, even though it wasn't expressed correctly. But I don't think asking someone "How can you sleep at night?" is engaging them in conversation, nor do I think it's in any way sinister. j/s

I wasn't referring to Myers, but to the witness', plural, who overheard OP's comment. Besides that I don't want to be inhibited by grammar lessons from anyone, as I'm not overly worried about it on forums as long as my posts are understood.
However if it makes you feel good.....

Not sure you're commenting on the correct post.

W: The measurements were taken of the entrance holes, as well as the exit holes, by Col Motha.

He is discussing the photos of the poles thru the holes.

Like another poster said, it is as if some people are watching a different trial!

And are still prepared to doggedly believe every word of OP's "version", despite the fact that he has been proven on numerous occasions to be a liar.

I'm quite fascinated by the mentality it takes to get to this point, and I know that OP's supporters will probably scream like a woman for my suggesting this, but I am wondering if there is not a tiny, subliminal element of misogyny involved in their thinking somewhere down the line...

I don't know about misogyny, but I suspect that some of his supporters find him attractive. If he was as ugly as sin, it might be a different matter. I think we've seen this in plenty of other cases.

Witness just called the bathroom "The alleged crime scene".

  • #538
Witness made his own measurements as well.

Roux tries to move his witness along a little and avoid him going thru every single measurement he took and how he did it....

oh for gods sake please take an interpreter already, Im getting a head ache

Mr Levine, just a small comment. You may be excellent at English and grammar but it does not go down well on this board for people's comments to have holes picked in them unless it changes the meaning of the sentence.

I found your comment funny but many do not. Many members are not native English speakers and I know we shall be very interested in your impressions of the court proceedings but not so much in your need to correct everyone's grammar.
