aLRIGHTY...

its down to shirtfront to shirtfront, re Woll and Nels..

  • #302
So basically as the trial went on, W changed information in his report.

As Nel would say, Wollie "tailored" his report.

  • #303
Nel opened the cross by pointing out that the latest report filed by Woolie was a few days AFTER Dixon finished his testimony...." Did you change your report? " Nel asked...

Lots of hemming and hawing in reply...

  • #304
Most of his reports are verbal reports. Of course they are, just likeDixon.

I'm sure he's got one or two nicely typed up ones .. :-P

W: Most of it was to amend his English and he repeated himself.
Nel wants to see the difference before earlier report and his final report.
W: The work that we do is empirical science. Things change. It's like building a puzzle. Things change because of the science we're doing.
Nel wants to know how his views have changed.

  • #306
Nels is going for the jugular.. this changing of evidence in response to prosecution witnesses has made Nels gird his loins and take it on.

  • #307
W now explaining he did not bring that first report because ballistics is 'not an empirical science' and he has amended things and amended his poor English etc....'The first time I went to the crime scene the door was not even there....the book rack was moved. There were books taken out of the rack and put in blood....we couldn't come to any conclusion at first.

  • #308
Just because the crime scene wasn't as it should have been, does that give him the right to be a freakin' slob too???

  • #309
I'm finding this so painful, so embarrassing. Surely, Wolly wouldn't have got away with testifying like this in his police career?

  • #310
N: I'll aprooach it from a different angle...do you have a filing system?

W: My filing system is on my computer, most of the time.

Nel does not like that answer. Repeats, does he have a filing system?

W: No.

  • #311
Oh NO, Wolli is channeling Dixon.

Nel is channeling Nel.

It's deja vu all over again.

  • #312
The real problem is.. no defence witness can make Oscars story work. its impossible.

Nel is surprised, he cannot understand why Woll an experienced expert witness has gone this route of the no report. no nuffin.

  • #313
Nel: "do you have a filing system?" :floorlaugh:

.. answer .. "No" :-O

  • #314
The crime scene was not as it should have been. Things had been moved.
He had to establish whether OP was on his stumps or not
Nel asks him if he has a filing system in his office - it's on my PC most of the time. Why would you say "most of the time?" Repeats the question.
W: No.

Are you kidding? I'm having the time of my life! I can't believe this guy is leaving skidmarks, and Nel's not even warmed up yet!

  • #316
Nel is gonna nail it down or die trying.

  • #317
N: You, before trial started, handed a written report to defence?

W: I can't remember...I spoke to them. Really can't remember if I handed them a report.

  • #318
I'm not sure if I handed in a report...

REALLY??????

  • #319
Why does he keep on about 'his English'? .. that's got nothing to do with whether you are able to keep an effective filing system ..

  • #320
So Oldwage is the culprit!
