Nel: It was put to the witness it would be impossible for her to hear...but if they (Reeva and OP) were downstairs, they were much closer.

Oh! Nel was reading here that the question WAS posed to Oscar about the phone lol. Can't recall who shouted out here that Nel was wrong earlier. Smarty WS'er!

Twas me :blushing:

Nel asks if this can all be mere coincidence; Reeva's stomach contents/witnesses hearing noise/seeing lights being on?

"It cannot be"

"It just cannot be"

What is Roux going to use, now Nel's pinched his catchphrase?

  • #384
I wish Nel would mention how CS also heard "crying", or was it the "shots", that woke her up. How far is her home from OP's compared to the PT witnesses?

Nel drawing all the strands together now ..

Nel just confused physiological with psychological while talking about stomach contents.

Nel: (Prof Simon) He's an expert. He based his testimony on his expertise, at least.....

(Subtle comparison to Derman's evidence there?)

Did OP ever say he'd screamed, "bloodcurdling screams ? And when OP said that he screamed like he had never done in his life, was that before he shot or after ?

Either I'm missing something or Nel is trying on a bit of poetic justice there!

The witness heard blood curdling screams, OP didn't hear anything, not Reeva speaking or screaming. Before OP shot he was screaming by his testimony, once he saw what he had done he had no reason to scream.

Edit: screaming like a woman, so all the witnesses heard OP screaming only, no reason for Reeva to be screaming, she was only being shot to death.

Nel saying how defence's Prof Lundgren identified factors that COULD affect digestion, but could not apply them to this case.

  • #390
Nel: Reeva was admitted to mortuary at 11.45. So cannot accept evidence last meal was sometime at 7.45 at night

???

If Mylady has an issue with her time schedule, with the upmost respect :), I think Nel's shown enough... She could thank him and ask Roux to say what he's left to say

Nel: We were lucky enough to have the view of the deceased of the relationship, via her whatsapp......90 per cent were Booboo, Baba. But it's the ten per cent that counts, and it's the timing. Msgs 14 days before the murder. Nothing improves, there are problems again....

  • #393
Nel talking now about the relationship: bubu, Baba, cross, cross, cross

  • #394
Nel: Also...we were able to see the email sent by the accused. Reeva was not the first one he wanted to take with him, he wanted to take Sam Taylor to London.

  • #395
Dunno who this Ravenstein is, who made a statement but defence didn't know if she was available?

Anyway, Nel says court can't accept it.

Nel now reading Reeva's 'scared when you snap at me' msg to OP, on 27 Jan.

Auntie & uncle A are smiling...

Nel: I know defence wld argue about the brilliant relationship...but Feb 7th, she was unhappy. Seven days later, she was killed.

Judge interjects: Can we really rely on these whatsapps? Feelings change....

Nel arguing very hard that yes, Reeva's words CAN be heard, believed, accepted. "One HAS to".

  • #398
Nel: What we have, apart from that, is the accused saying "they were happy". They were not without problems....it's not a normal relationship. This relationship ended in death.

  • #399
Lol.

Nel: Sorry Milady. I became a lawyer because I can't count.
