Wait - so a witness can choose to give a statement that's not a sworn statement?

I know! Sure that's what was said though.

Witness is standing , not sitting. I wonder why....

  • #486
He is Control Forensic Analysis head, Chemistry Geology majors, masters in chemistry etc etc

  • #487
How many forensic examintions hve you completed?

I think he replied 1,400.

He attended 'the scene' two weeks after the incident.

Witness is standing , not sitting. I wonder why....

I've seen witnesses do this before because they are more comfortable standing.

Went to house of OP March 8th. With group of other people from forensic science lab.

"I was requested to perform two examinations. One on the cricket bat, one on the door....and to ascertain the cause of bending of the metal plate'

Me: Think metal plate was on bath? Not sure

  • #491
Witnesses voice is shot.....

  • #492
Looking at pic of plate. But did not investigate it at scene, it was sent to lab.

  • #493
The door was not in place on Mar 8th either. They had to screw it back into frame. He confirms it's door that is in court.

  • #494
What "plate" are they talking about?

  • #495
Witness says he was only at scene to accustom himself. His examination was in the lab, of the plate.

'Steel plate got bent as a result of object falling or hitting it. It had to be hard enough to cause the scratch that was on it...faint scratch on right hand side. Not really visibe, I had to examine under a microscope"

Couldn't ascertain what object caused it.

What is this plate ? A hot tub accessible panel ?

Door examination:

'I saw two distinct marks which immediately drew my attention....

Small one on edge, and an elongated one. He is showing them to judge on photo.

'These (marks) are indeed consistent with beating the door or bashing the door with a cricket bat. 1,400-1,500 height from floor.'

(millimeters?)
