Col: 'I'm not going to bother....it will be presented in court. Cos it will not change my investigation I did 7/8 months before.'

  • #722
Looking at more photos. "Different marks"

Police shoe prints. Col laughs ruefully.

R: 'How did that come about?'

Col: 'I do not know. I was not on the scene.'

  • #723
Judge - 'What are those marks on?'

R: 'On a panel of the door.'

Judge looking closely at this photo.....

Yes, the MSM is full of such things these days. But this topic actually came up in August 2013:

------
A senior source at South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority said that despite repeated requests, Pistorius could not help them access a programme on his phone called WhatsApp.

He said: “There are several encrypted messages on that application of interest to us. But they are coded and even WhatsApp’s servers cannot identify them.

“Oscar says he cannot remember a password for them or what they say.

“After months of SDHp pressing him he remembered the password to his iPhone 5 but we haven’t been in a position to open all his messages from the night of the shooting and the days before that.” Detectives are keen to find out who Pistorius was in contact with before and on the night of Reeva’s death.

So the issue according to the above at that time was not the pwd to the iphone - it was the pwd to encrypted WhatsApp messages. I'm going to stick with that account until I hear really good evidence to the contrary.

Hi Feynman
I was not aware of the encrypted WhatsApp messages. I am technically challenged, and I don't even have an Iphone. So the app's confuse me :blushing: Thanks for the info!

Col laughing again as R mentions footprints on the floor in the blood....

ETA - or maybe taking about door panel?

  • #727
R asking where door was kept, safekeeping?

Col doesn't know what happened to it after it was collected from scene.

  • #728
This Colonel's body language is given me the gitters. He is rubbing his nose scratching his head, moving from side to side :banghead:

Bloody police footprints on the door:banghead::banghead::banghead:

  • #729
Good grief. The door panel had police boot prints on it.

  • #730
How do they know one of those boot prints did not cause the "kick mark" if that was the case?

  • #731
Door was brought up to bathroom in a body bag. Panels were loose, Col says. Two bits from right side. They stuck them in with Pritt stick?

Col did not open the bag. Can't recall who took door out 'The room was quite crowded. I assisted with putting screws in'.

  • #732
The door wasn't stored in bubble wrap, but a body bag.

  • #733
Some bigfoot stomped all over the door....unbelievable.

  • #734
Showing pics of scene and Roux making it sound chaos, as though there were bits of door everywhere.

Co Vermeulen indicates where the police footprints were seen on the door:

Col showing bullet holes, on right. One complete, one a half hole.

By handle there are 'quite significant marks', Col says.

R asks if they were there when Col did his original investigation. Col looks at his picks from Mar 8th. Marks not there. :(

  • #737
It just looks like an ordinary keyhole to me. You put the key in, turn it, it locks/unlocks the door. Why would you need a knob as well?

Some locks are locked/unlocked manually, yes? They have a lock you can turn with your hand. This does not appear to be that kind of lock. It's just a key hole. Hope that makes sense.

  • #738
R asks how marks got there between Mar 8th and April 30th.

Col doesn't know. Doesn't know who had door, suspects it was Cpt Munghayna(sp)?

  • #739
Col: 'It would be stored with controlled access'.

  • #740
I'm speechless......

But where is the proof these footprints are from police and not from OP?
