Roux all holier than thou. Really?

  • #162
Roux said the state's case is in a very deep hole.

  • #163
Talking about whatsapp msgs.

R: You cannot quote a radio. That's naughty. (in ref to state).

What was he referring to? I missed a bit

  • #164
Yes, that as well .. I don't doubt this was one of the "many, many, many" things going through his mind right at that moment. You'd be surprised just how fast people like him can think up things, it only takes a nano second if you are that way inclined .. trust me, I know from personal experience of someone just like that.

BBM: Yes and Oscar seems very well practiced...probably has been doing it his whole life.

MOO

I KNEW the judge would not like the comparison to an abused woman!

Judge: How does it apply to this case?

And in response he pulled out the 'little boy who had no legs' card.

  • #166
Wow very inappropriate of Roux to blame all of Oscar's lies on Nel.......he's very disrespectful today, something Nel was never to the defence.

It's dreadful, isn't it .. I'm truly DISGUSTED with his use of the 'abused woman' comparison .. it's sick, especially in the circumstances!

Roux calling Nel out for bringing caselaw from other jurisdictions - misleading

  • #168
Roux now saying case law cited by state was just to create 'an atmosphere' and milady cannot consider them?

Who's on first base, what's on second and I dunno on third. Is anyone getting this?

  • #171
The irony of saying that the Bladerunner has developed a slow burn fight response as a result of years and years of not being able to take flight.

  • #172
Pointing out that Fresco contradicted himself (lied) - he was out to incriminate OP because he was an accessory, seeking immunity

  • #173
He asked Mangena where Nel or Botha got the 1.5 meters, and Mangena said he didn't know. He's not discrediting Mangena, he's coming down on the shenanigans of the state

For clarity purposes, did the defence also use shenanigans?

  • #174
R: He was out to incriminate the accused, because he was an accessory. (talking about Darren and the sunroof shot)

  • #175
BBM: Yes and Oscar seems very well practiced...probably has been doing it his whole life.

Look at how fast he came up with a plan, when he shot off a gun in a crowded restaurant. By the time the owner walked over, within in instant, he had someone else agreeing to take the blame. Bing-bang-boom.

I would say - yes, at times. Nel covered all that yesterday. But remember that the state has the burden of proof, and there are definitely deficits in the state's case and, yes, shenanigans.

  • #177
R: He was all over the place, he never mentioned the crumpling of the ticket. Took the police out to the site, they had to drive past it four times...

  • #178
Roux pointing out Samantha Taylor's agenda and motivation and bias

  • #179
The irony of saying that the Bladerunner has developed a slow burn fight response as a result of years and years of not being able to take flight.

It's breathtaking, isn't it ..

  • #180
R: (Sam Taylor) Totally contradictory. Absolute contradictory....not only reasonable doubt, there's huge doubt.
