This witness is such a pleasure to listen to -- this is a reward for having endured the no brain prima donna yesterday....he's clear, concise and professional

"Oh my gosh" ! "Oh my gosh" what?

"Oh my gosh" that Reeva's family as the directly affected do not want revenge ?

"Oh my gosh" that Reeva's family does not spew out vitriol and hate ?

"Oh my gosh" that victims can still feel compassion ?

I believe Kim sincerely believes OP should go to prison, and Roux simply cornered her into saying something that sounded as though she doesn't. In my opinion.

Yes, such a shame OP didn't have the same value for human life as the Steenkamps.

People are allowed to express surprise about something without being jumped on.

ZM: Says there are gangs in the prison. They've developed an anti-gang strategy.

  • #109
ZM: The gang leaders were often gang leaders when they were out in the community

M now listing the numer of social workers etc.

N: We heard about gangsters and assaults...Can you tell me how you deal with them?

M: Yes we have gangs......some come in already gang members....

He goes on to explain the ways the cope and deal with it: @I can assure you we are dealing with gangsterism, in partnership with SA police'

This place sounds to good to be true..

Exactly. I think the commissioner is painting an overly rosy picture of the SA prison system

Witness agrees that one way to avoid gangs is to have a single cell.

Yes it is interesting the morsels some people choose to snatch at whilst never addressing any of the other issues.

I'm pretty certain that in the UK we also have a gang/hierarchy system between prisoners .. it has no bearing on whether someone else who has committed a crime is sent to prison or not.

  • #115
I have no doubt that there is some inhumane treatment at nearly all prisons. The way you avoid it is to refrain from gunning down a defenceless person taking refuge in a toilet.

  • #116
time for OP to learn a real trade anyways -- he's not getting younger....

  • #117
M:...it is the dept's intention to modify facilities to make them more humane.....departure from 'warehouse'....when we are building ensure they are in line with white paper,...ensure when they come out they are an improved person...

Wonderful, lets all go :great:

This is baloney as in reality all these resources will be spread across all prisons in the country, and as in the UK will be thin on the ground for many.
Other things will conspire to disrupt the programmes, shortage of staff, lock down due to incidents in the prison etc. including the slow wheels of the bureaucracy re any special applications. MOO

I can't believe that OP gets this special consideration in a court.
