Does anybody know what's up with OP's hair? What are those whitish patches on the side/back of his head? Is it hair or are they bald patches? TIA

The white patches are getting alot of media. But I remember noticing them last year at the BH, so I don't think they are anything new. But maybe bigger or whiter now...

V concedes photo of phone could not have been how it appeared on scene. R wants to know when we can rely on scene photos and when they have been changed.

V says the most important photos of all are Botha's photos. The first photos. When they started with the investigation then they got different photos.

I think if the State's witnesses were more organized in how they investigate & document a crime scene, much of this wasted time trying to explain it to the Court could be avoided.

Not sure if that was as bad as R made it seem. They took a photo of the white phone when they found it, underneath the towel and plank. If they hadn't moved the towel, they could not have taken the photo. I suppose the problem is, if investigators said that was how they discovered it, before anything had been touched.

If the back door was also sealed, I don't understand why Von didn't just say that it could have been either the front door or the back door. For some reason, he seemed to not want to answer the question.

what I learned..


(1) Botha is the target. Roux had a success with Botha at the bail hearing and wants to repeat it at this murder trial. .

(2)... Roux.. under Oscars instruction, is creating the possibility of being framed for Reeva's murder... not the shooting.. but the second part of Oscars claim ( part A )" I shot her , I killed her" ...<--- not that part, but (part B)..---> " I thought she was an intruder'...

The photos showing changes in the door seal do look bad to me, because that implies someone could have entered the crime scene.

One thing defence cannot cast doubt on - OP shot Reeva while they were alone in the house. He admits that.

If only that witness had conceded he might have made mistakes, might have missed something, might have let someone on the crime scene. He has backed himself into a corner and Roux is scoring hit after hit. V has no room to maneouvre now....

Agreed but I think the judge will be aware this is nit-picking on Roux's behalf, mainly because he doesn't seem to have anything else of electrifying importance. Just wait until Nel gets up and starts picking holes in OP's statements. They are riddled with very important changes, omissions, impossibilities, etc.

IMO Roux is doing all this witness bashing because he knows his case is very weak but time will tell.

Roux, is trying to insinuate it was the police on the orders of their boss Hilton Botha moved and planted evidence in the bathroom and bedroom to strengthen their case that Reeva and Oscar were involved in a brawl. The fan in the bedroom is big and quite heavy looking, how did he manage to bring in two fans in total darkness without waking up Reeva?

It must be different in the actual court, because from the outside it seems so obvious when Roux is working up to 'disproving' something. He always gets witness to state themselves into a firm position, then strikes.

I keep thinking that they should be aware and concede a bit, then he couldn't do it, but they never seem to see it coming....

For sure Roux is desperate to get Botha up there and tear him to shred's, the way things are currently going i don't think he ever needs to do that to be honest.
Yes he is certainly hinting at scenario (2), i don't personally believe that's what happened, i just think the whole episode was handled by total buffons.

White patches usually indicate that the person has suffered from total hair loss due to alopecia, which is often caused by stress. When the hair regrows it commonly is a different colour and often grey/white.

Interesting. (a previous poster also suggested vitiligo) Maybe from a previous stressful period in his life.

I am glad this is not a jury trial. I am putting my hope in the judge, who will know how investigations are usually conducted, and if this one has any signs of 'conspiracy' or unusual failure/compromises.

I'm used to following trials where there is much more of a united, streamlined front from prosecutors and investigators, but maybe that isn't always the case in SA?
