Which butt dial call?

The one where Baba heard nothing but sobs. I know this may not have actually been a butt dial, just calling it that for clarity's sake.

Was there a call after the call made to Baba from OP? If not then he simply misremembered the order of calls, I think.

I don't think it was a butt dial - I think it was OP trying to call security but not being able to speak. Then Baba called back. Those were the only two calls.

Baba misremembered the order of the calls

I agree it wasn't a butt dial.

And if he called and was sobbing with no one around, then it flies in the face, I think, of someone calculatingly trying to cover his crime immediately after the shooting.

Fearing the worst, I googled "butt dial" and found it basically means calling someone by mistake.

LOL! A lot of teenagers keep their mobile phones in the back pocket of their jeans. Before the touch screen versions came out many times just putting it in the pocket or sitting would press the call key, so they "butt dialed" someone. it's an American term, but would funny to know the other nations' equivalents! Especially Brasil's,!

There are a lot of people here that know what Reevas ex-boyfriend's look like, sadly I do not, but no one said that this man looks like any of them. From all of Reeva's texts where she is basically bending over backwards to develop a loving relationship with OP I cannot begin to believe that he is some man that Reeva was interested in; and both the State and the DT have not indicated that either. So I wonder who he is, and I wonder what his connection is to OP and the murder of Reeva...

Is it possible that one of those GPRS calls shown on OP's data records could have been from Baba or is there an intercom type of thing in the houses there?

I had read somewhere that there was the regular security line as well as a different mobile phone setup in the buggy that Baba used to ride around the estate. I would imagine it would be similar to those security lines that go directly to an intercom within a residence whereas the cell number would have gone to a central alarm number.

Anyone know?

No idea, could he be like that Tom character that friended himself to everyone when you first joined one of the older chats like Myspace and Facebook? He does look familiar, though I'm not sure if it's in general or from recently while reading some of this trials back history...

Does Clarice/Audrey say that she opened the front door when she first arrived at the house for her to enter the house?

The GPRS connections are not phone calls, they're internet connections, and it was testified these could have been done without the phone's user connecting to the internet but can be done automatically. It's likely that's what these were and not OP connecting to the internet himself.

Probably. Only when a message is sent or received would there be a GPRS connection though...I would think.

The term "booty call" is more poetic, but it was already taken and means something entirely different.

Is it about timing, insensitivity or clearsighted crime management, that Oscar or one of his family/friends/team who all knew about Steenkamp's death, did not tell her family and friends she was dead until the morning?

Pistorius' crime scene was basically a large party of allies gathered around. Including Stander family of three with lucky 2nd lawyer, his longtime lawyer Oldwage, his manager, his two siblings and more family later, his BFF Justin Divarus and Sam Greyvenstein etc. ...

Yet it was the police who informed the victim's parents at 7.30am the next morning of her shooting. Here the police tell her mother by phone early 7.30am Valentine's Day: "The man said, I'm sorry to have to tell you but I don't want you to go up and read the paper, that she's dead."
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/reeva-steenkamp-models-mum-reveals-1730210

Perhaps it was because Steenkamp's lived in another city but then how, and when, did the Myers find aout about her death? They had to ID Steenkamps dead body and in this article it states they found out about death in the early morning. Was it Sam/Justin who called them or the police?

http://www.news.com.au/world/reeva-...pistoriuss-house/story-fndir2ev-1226586799797

This is all unfortunate because I really wish one of Steenkamp's friends or allies could have had a lawyer, or her allies, rush to the crime scene too, checking out the movements of the police, others and Pistorius behaviour as he cried, washed his hands and or popped back upstairs. I wonder if they would have noted anything unusual.

Yup. Those could be anything.

GPRS connections can be user requested or app/publisher requested. I looked up whatsapp and this app sends push notifications. So if this app, or any app on his phone, sends push notifications then these will most likely show as GPRS connections. The GPRS connections could also be, for instance, an email app downloading his email or an automatic update.

Baba says "a lady let him in" (from the inside).

I remember during Baba's testimony thinking,"Eh? What lady? It was only Oscar left in the house . . .

Baba never entered the house. Here's the rundown:

Baba was outside of Oscar's house at 3:22am. This is when Oscar called him for 9 seconds and hung up and then Baba called him back, asked if everything is ok and Oscar replies "everything is fine".

As Baba was talking to the other security guard with him about the fact that all was not ok, Johan Stander and his daughter pulled up in a blue mini cooper.

They hopped out of their car and rushed to the front door without saying a word to the security guards.

Baba & guard jumped out of their buggy and followed behind them to the door. Oscar was at the top of the stairs carrying Reeva, it was then that he proceeded down the steps, after he saw all of them standing at the door.

Dr. Stipp arrived very shortly after. Stander was standing next to the car talking on his cell phone. Clarice was in the doorway, and Stipp told her he was a doctor and can he help... she said yes and let him in.

Yes, GPRS is activated for any internet related functions including the whatsapp app, texts, etc.

GPRS can also be activated by automatic updates on your phone, incoming emails, etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be human interaction to cause GPRS to activate.

But if the Judge has any questions about a particular GPRS activation, all she has to do is refer back to the data downloads to see if there is any particular data for that exact time i.e. a text message.
