It never fails to amaze me that young girls, any women for that matter, go to a complete strangers' place for sex.

Jacqueline Robledo takes the stand. She was 19 in 2013. She posted on the app Whisper about the movie "50 Shades of Gray" and that Ross Harris sent her a private message. She said the conversation "immediately went sexual." They then went to the app Kik to talk. She said he told her he was in his 30s. There were "Every day" conversations, as well as sexual conversations. She admitted to exchanging explicit photos. She said she was going through a "big break-up" and that she was flattered she was getting attention.

She agreed to meet up with him at his apartment in 2013 and they later had sex.

After the initial encounter, they stayed in touch but Robledo said they did not meet up again. He did "eventually" mention that he did have a wife and child during a questioning game.

Robledo doesn't remember how soon after their initial encounter that he told her he had a family. Robledo said he said his son Cooper was "great and that he loved his son."

Robledo said Ross Harris "disappeared" for a while but later messaged her. He said he was caught and that he was laying low.

Robledo said Ross Harris told her he went on vacation and met up with another man using Whisper and had a relationship with him.

I watched and listened and was paying attention, and the impression I had at the end was the discrepancy amounted to a single digit, but can easily be wrong. Didn't make any sense that Kilgore would be beating up on that affable State witness over a typo.
the transposed number appeared to be a minor mistake. I think the DT was just trying to drive another nail of sloppiness in LE investigation

The prosecution presented Kik messages from Ross Harris from Dec. 11, 2013.

The defense is questioning Robledo and she described the encounter with Harris as a "one night stand" and that she was "in and out" in about 45 minutes.

I do feel for the now 17 yr. old. Huge life lesson for all who sext. Never know when it will be for all the world to see.

I don't think that it is really fair to call this a life lesson. Just as a teenager who becomes pregnant via rape shouldn't see that as a life lesson regarding premarital sex, this victim shouldn't be blamed for sexting. We have laws in place to prevent adults from preying on children who are unable to give consent.

Bamaxh was RH's Whisper username. Used with minor. Exchange on May 29th. She told him her real age and he replied that he wanted her to make him a naughty old man. ugh.

Disgusting.

Robledo says Ross did not discuss leaving his wife and that he loved his wife and wanted to be with her. This happened around July 2014. The relationship was going on for about a year at that time.

Robledo says Harris described Cooper as "the best ever" and sent her a photo of him.

Recap

10:57 a.m.

They met up for a one-night stand and had sex on the living room couch in an apartment. She was there for about 45 minutes.

She described the sex as “nothing out of the norm.” That was the only time they met up in person, although they continued to message each other for more than a year in all.

Robledo said that Harris never discussed leaving his wife.

“As far as you know he loved his wife and wanted to be with her,” Kilgore said. “That’s true isn’t it.”

Yes, she replied.

He never said anything negative about Cooper but was loving.

10:53 a.m.

Kilgore is now cross examining Robledo.

He’s asking about Robledo using Whisper, which Harris also used.

Sometime you would respond and sometimes you wouldn’t, Kilgore said. Yes, she said.

Robledo posted something about Fifty Shades of Gray on Whisper. She read the book and saw the movie. It features bondage sex play as a key theme.

She and Harris typically messaged, though using Kik, many of the texts were sexual in nature.

10:48 a.m.

Robledo testified that Harris told her, “He had met up with a guy, had relations w/ him.”
10:45 a.m.

They texted using messaging services, such as Whisper and Kik. They met up at an apartment in the summer of 2013 and had sex.

Harris told the woman, Jacqueline Robledo, at one point after he had stopped messaging, he finally texted her that he had been caught by his wife and had to “lay low.”

He did not seem happy in his marriage, Robledo testified.

They texted for months, all the way up until a couple of days before Cooper died.

10:38 a.m.

Video and audio are again available.

Lead prosecutor Chuck Boring is questioning a young woman who was messaging with Harris. She said that she did not initially know that Harris was married.

Some of the text were sexually explicit, including photos they sent each other. Harris continually tried to get her to meet up with him.

“I felt very flattered that I was getting some attention,” said the woman, who was going through a breakup at the time.

9:48 a.m.

An underage girl who Harris was communicating with online and sexted is preparing to testify. There will not be any video or audio footage during her testimony.

9:44 a.m.

Have you had an opportunity to have contact with her after that one meeting? Kilgore said. No, Escamillo said, he never saw her again.

When you walked in that room, you had no idea if she could identify him, correct? Kilgore said.

Correct, Escamillo said, but the point of the meeting was not to see if she could identify him. It was just to verify Harris’ phone number.

9:38 a.m.

Kilgore pointed out that Escamillo showed her one picture of Harris, not six of different individual as is typically done in a line up scenario.

“This was not a show up or a line up,” Escamillo said.

If you wanted to do it by the book, you could have shown her six photos, Kilgore said.

“We had already identified him,” Escamillo said.

They already has his phone call to her, so the meeting was just to verify, he said.

“So there was no purpose showing her a photo right off the bat was there,” Kilgore said.

Photos can sometimes help people remember because they associate certain things, Escamillo said.

9:34 a.m.

She made you aware she had just gotten out of jail? Kilgore asked. No, Escamillo said.

The sting on the prostitute was almost three months after Cooper died.

He showed her a picture of Harris while he was explaining to her why she was there.

You come in, you have her dead to rights for solicitation but you said that she wasn’t going to be arrested, Kilgore said.

“She seemed very surprised,” Escamillo said, describing her reaction.

9:30 a.m.

Lead defense attorney Maddox Kilgore is cross examining Detective Escamillo.

His function was to follow up on leads, such as finding the prostitute. He did not investigate any of the forensics reports from Harris’ computer or his wife’s MacBook.

Escamillo said he didn’t previously know of the prostitute Harris saw.

9:17 a.m.

The officer, Ralph Escamillo, said he found the prostitute's phone number on Harris' call log. He met with her along with two other officers at the Econo Lodge on Franklin Road in Marietta. She described Harris as overweight and "dumpy."

9:01 a.m.

Court is underway.

The prosecution is questioning a police officer who interacted with a prostitute that met with Justin Ross Harris three times in the weeks leading up to Cooper's death.

Disgusting.

No blame intended on my part. My intention is to imply that it can have a serious backlash. Folks may think it will remain private but apparently it can become public. Not to mention putting ones self in a potentially dangerous situation. Whether a person is 15 or 50. I hope it cautions folks to think about it. Maybe this coming out will stop even just 1 minor from engaging.

SHe worked at Home Depot. Was working at TreeHouse location. She is a musician and she heard he played music too. SHe had seen him before in the building. She only knew him from the building.

Robledo says Harris told her she was not the only person he met up with using Whisper.

On May 27, Robledo asked how Cooper was and Harris responded by saying he was "so cute."

The next witness is Regina Malloy, who says she works for Home Depot corporate.

Malloy said she met Ross Harris working as a contractor and that she introduced herself to him and had music in common.

Malloy said she and Harris talked about music and if they had any friends in common.

A week before, she had a conversation with him. He had a hard guitar case with him. She had told him previously that the heat from the car could harm his guitar and peel the glue and warp the instrument. He brought his guitar into work to make sure it wouldn't get ruined from the heat.

Brings guitar to protect it on hot days. Forgets his son. Ugh
