Obviously a guitar's too precious to be left in the heat.
Right. He understood hot cars were bad. Watching a TV show with Leanna told him much more on point info about hot cars being bad for children.
So? If he had remembered Cooper was in the car he wouldn't have chosen to leave him there. And if intended to leave him there (I don't believe that) the vet video is relevant, a convo about guitars not so much. Jmo

Lumpkin also uses a satellite image of the Home Depot Treehouse parking lot to get Malloy to show him where employees prefered to park at the Treehouse building. She testifies that on the day of Cooper's death, Harris had parked further back than he usually did but not so far away that others wouldn't have possibly walked by the vehicle.
The prosecution calls its next witness, Brandon Moore. In 2014, Moore was a systems engineer for Home Depot's website. Moore sat close to Ross Harris but says that he didn't know him very well. Moore says that Harris seemed "distant, maybe a little stressed out" in the weeks before Cooper's death.

Yes, expensive musical instruments are, and yes, I see the rhetorical point the State is making, I just find it pretty weak, weaker still if it was meant to speak to intent.
With respect to your last paragraph, I am sure that the State is trying to establish the fact that Ross protects the things he cherishes from the heat in his car. Ross was warned about the danger of leaving his guitar in the car so he took steps to prevent his guitar from becoming damaged. When he was presented with the dangers of leaving living things in the car, he still left Cooper.
I know that this has not been admitted into evidence, but Ross also posted on Reddit that he doesn't understand people who leave laptops in cars during sporting events/concerts. I admit that I find his concern over leaving inanimate objects in cars troubling. Why didn't he show the same concern for his son?

I think they are showing Ross could indeed remember valuable things left in the car that would be hurt by the heat....he wasn't THAT forgetful.

I have never said it was impossible to forget your kid in the car. What I have said is I don't believe it can be done in less than a minute or two , with the car seat inches from your drivers seat. Big difference.

Defense just hit on the same point, then also went on to being stressed about a "Sprint" project (2 week turnaround) he was having a problem with.
But again, I wouldn't bring that up if I were the defense - knowing he left work early that day. Not too stressed, I guess.

Therein lies the difference between "forgetting" per se, as in, RH pulled into work then walked in, having "forgotten" Cooper was there, and, by the time RH reached the intersection he believed Cooper was at daycare. Those two things are not the same.
