Did the prosecution take into consideration that it was Cooper that died, and not Leanna?
It seems that this testimony would be a lot more pertinent if he spent all day talking about how much he disliked being a father, rather than a husband.

I don't know if RH planned Coopers death or not, I flip flop all over the place. But I am not seeing his dissatisfaction with marriage as any sort of smoking gun here.

He stated he was dissatisfied with marriage but stayed married because of Cooper. Therefore, (the theory goes) if Cooper were not there - he would be "free". I'm not stating I believe this but just pointing out how the comments about marriage might be being used.

Did anyone else see the mid trial survey on CourtChatter?

Clearly this was their biggest fear because both LH and RH must have thought he was that oblivious in life to do this or something like it. I think these emails help the defense.

How do they help the defense? He clearly knew about HOT CAR deaths and knew how to prevent them. But he did nothing to do so. He only had to look two inches to the right, and he could see the baby out of the corner of his eye. And in spite of the fact that this was his biggest fear, he 'forgot' his son was there within 30 seconds of pulling out of the lot.

You've obviously never been to North Dakota in the winter, lol. I lived there for one unbearable year. The day I arrived it was minus 30 degrees F before windchill, the wind was blowing so hard I had difficulty keeping my footing, and the weather wasn't considered to be especially bad yet. :O

Children could certainly die if left for 8 hours in a car in those conditions.

Not true at all---I was born and raised in North Dakota and have lived here my whole life. Minus 30 degrees is considered cold and especially bad. If the wind is blowing, it's considered lethal to be outside. When conditions are as such, the weather report will sometimes give 'exposure time' meaning how many minutes you can survive outside before any exposed skin freezes when taking into consideration the temperature and velocity of the wind. The wind chill has no effect on the interior of a car.

On a more positive note, I'm 115 years old and I look like I'm 29. We're all well preserved here.

I have not been exposed to media on this case before this trial started. I only heard about it on the news a couple of times in 2014. Never researched about it. More recently, I read JerseyGirl's synopsis to learn about this case and have been reading posts on this site.

So far I have determined RH is not a great guy, not a great dad, and is a horrible husband. He is selfish, immature, immoral, shameless, and irresponsible. He has zero amount of integrity.

These facts are all very relevant and important to me if I was a juror on this case. I think he may have killed Cooper on purpose and if he did, he did it on the spur of the moment...after he thought about needing 'escapes'. What great dad says or types such thing in front of his child. He wanted to text, sext, have sex with prostitutes at free will and Cooper the joker stood in the way.

I thought he seemed tired of having to reading that stuff. Or maybe I was tired of hearing it. Could be either or both, lol.

It was tiring and frustrating listening, I thought Stoddard was clearly sick of it. I don't think he came across badly at all, just read from the transcript. I don't think he was upset at using the F word mind. I was confused they were going through it all again, as I thought, then remembered it was because I'd read it all from the screen last week. With the exception of the day Harris helped Alex move.

Nightmares already at the thought of the DT going through all the texts again, if they so choose. Kilgore has an axe to grind on the running objection, he clarified dates to that degree for a reason. If so, I hope Kilgore tasks himself with it.

Like a zillion other couples who stay married for their children. This is feeling more and more like a public stoning. The fact he's a man doesn't mean he isn't being 🤬🤬🤬🤬 shamed. He is.

But those million other couples didn't 'forget' their baby in a hot car to die a gruesome death. And it is not 🤬🤬🤬🤬 shaming, in my opinion. He is a full out sex addict and doing so in illegal, high risk, immoral ways. He is bringing great risk to his wife and of course his child, by his sick behavior.

Maybe I was just unfortunate to be hanging out with the truly stoic, lol, because -30 didn't phaze the Dakotans I knew there. Me, a tropical flower in comparison, doubted I'd survive the winter. Thought I'd be found upside down in the May spring, after the snowbanks melted, lol.

The point, anyway, was about severe cold being potentially lethal.

I wonder if she will be part of Ross's other sexual crimes trial. He has other sexual charges that were severed. Did that 14 YO girl sext with Ross on June 18? That could be why she did not testify during this trial.

RBBM That's interesting, where would they be? The only ones showing up on the Court Docket are the ones in this case. They show March 2016 charges. I tried to watch the Feb 22 Motions Hearing an another over the weekend. I am confused on the charges because there was an Indictment (Def was arguing they were not "charged" but "indited" ) JMHO it seemed that he was Indited for them a long time ago, but unsure why they were not charged until March 2016. its 2 individuals and 6 viol computer 🤬🤬🤬🤬 act. And 2 females were off camera during their testimony due to being minor at time.

She might have said her age as way younger, like he did. I think the ick factor point was made without her on stand, though.

I wonder how they chose who to bring on stand, or maybe they couldn't find the others...? There were so dang many!

I wonder if she was maybe an undercover cop---not a real 14 yr old?

The cold temps here aren't important. HOCKEY is important---and that's all that's important. But if you were here for a year, I bet you already knew that.

On a more serious note, we have had children who have died from being left in the car----but it was in the summer. One case a couple of years ago in the city I live in. The mother wasn't arrested or charged or even detained.

What great dad? Maybe not a "great" dad, but a dad who loved to the best of his ability, a tired dad, depressed about not advancing at work, not finding intimacy in his marriage, maybe an immature man, and one who perhaps doesn't always use the perfect words to express how he feels, but who that day sitting at CFA was thinking, perhaps, of an argument he had the night before with Leanna about his going to a movie with friends, which was imo his focus in the whisper thing exchange, and who meant "break," not "escape," and who made it crystal clear, as he had for over a year, that Cooper wasn't the problem, his marriage was.

And as much as you know I greatly respect your opinion, on this one we may disagree, because imo, I find it reprehensible the depths the State has sunk to in this case to deny RH a fair trial, including lies, more lies, and relentless character assassination.

But one would think he would have been busted right?

No, it takes awhile. They try and get the perp to meet in person to bust them. If he had agreed to meet her he would have been arrested right then, when he arrived.

I don't think that those are the same charges as this case, but now you have me confused.

This is all necessary, IMO. If the state puts on 4 sexting witnesses but reads sexting messages from 10, people want to know why they didn't bring in all 10. IMO

I think these texts, sexts emails, phone calls, 800+ 🤬🤬🤬🤬, Craigslist personal ads, escort services, Backpage etc. - show Ross was quite skilled at multi-tasking. He had also managed to keep his son alive until he made the choice to kill him by leaving him in the car to die. moo

Times dont add up to me

They got video from LAA and timed how long it took RH to put Cooper in car seat as an approximate time.
4:56:56 opens door
4:58:13 closes door

2 min 07 sec

Exits CF lobby to parking lot 9:20:33
pulls into HD parking lot from Cumberland 9:24:42

9:24:42
-
9:20:33
____________
4:09 Diff in time exiting CF **which we have no idea how long he was in parking lot
-
2:07 *their example of time to put Cooper in car seat at CF
_____
2:02 to get from CF to HD parking lot? Even with no hitting no red lights Stoddard didn't even make it that fast And Stoddards time doesn't take into acount putting child into car seat.

and also they are saying: *(I am still wondering about the UTC-4) Just me unsure if it has been taken off or not. Not arguing.
