Other responders did not report a smell, including police officers and firemen.

Two other people said they also smelled an odor, Stoddard’s boss and another police officer. One crime scene investigator also reported that he smelled urine.

Do you know what “confirmation bias” is, Kilgore asked. No, Stoddard said.

“Everybody has a different sense of smell don’t they? Isn’t is possible that Ross did not smell that?” Kilgore said.

“Of course it’s possible,” Stoddard replied.

Defense says the 5 minute call Harris made on scene was to the Home Depot switchboard. Defense insinuates Harris never dialed an extension so it just sat on the switchboard main line.

OMG on Kilgore, Stoddard, and the call log to Little Aprons. The snark! The extended review of the logs by Stoddard, as minutes ticked by; the explanation for what happens if one doesn't punch in the numbers to forward ( "you just sit there"); the smack down of Stoddard's slimy insinuations about Ms. Gray; the 4:27 RH already retained, so he didn't wait for 6 minutes on the phone in any case.

The 6 minutes explained, and the State caught in another really despicable , excuse me, lie, especially given their beating up on Ms. Gray.

And , sure, Stoddard has never heard the term "confirmation bias" before.

Kilgore is now discussing Harris’ call log the day of Cooper’s death. He brings up the call made at 4:25 p.m. He calls the main Home Depot corporate line twice around that time. The call lasted a little over 5 minutes.

The prosecution has asserted that Harris called Cooper’s classroom at the daycare.

They interviewed Cooper’s teacher, the only person in the room at the time. She has testified that the phone in the room did not ring and she never talked to Harris.

There is no evidence that she spoke to Harris, Stoddard agreed.

Harris was in custody at 4:27 p.m., so he was sitting in the patrol car at the time of the call.

Isn’t it possible that when the officers were fumbling with his phone that they hit redial on the number that Harris had called earlier – the main Home Depot line.

Harris told detectives that he had tried to call Little Aprons. So, Kilgore is making the point, that it is possible detectives accidentally redialed the main Home Depot line. If that happened, and no one dialed an extension for Little Aprons, it’s possible that the phone call could have just gone on for the 5-plus minute period.

Harris had every reason in the world to know that the parking lot was monitored by video cameras, Kilgore said. Yes, Stoddard responded.

There were two parking spaces available along a wood line that would have made it more difficult for people to see inside the car. Harris though did not park there.

“He had the opportunity to do that … and he didn’t do that did he?” Kilgore said.

I'm also following the Carli Scott murder trial. The defence lawyer in that trial couldn't be more different to Kilgore. He is like a petulant child mixed with a yappy little dog. Kilgore is very quiet and polite.

Lots of things are possible about that call. That RH called Room #5 and spoke for 6 minutes to a mysterious somebody is not on the list of possibilities. Shame on the State.

The State's problem about their "double life" argument is that it applies only to RH and Leanna's marriage. Married, but wildly , out of control sexual outside his marriage. Jurors could be forgiven, actually, for finding the sheer volume of his activities as evidence of an addiction or personality disorder kind of thing.

But the State hasn't demonstrated, much less proven, that RH had a double life when it came to Cooper. For whatever reason, RH freely shared the fact he had a child and loved him, even sending his sexting ladies pics of Cooper. No double life there, rather, entirely consistent with his bragging about Cooper etc in his "real" life.

I totally agree. If I was on the jury in the other case the lawyer would really aggravate me!

He did indeed share his double life. He mentioned it in texts. Seems like he loved having a double life and I suspect having the church pray from him felt all the more naughty.

Having a double life wasn't necessarily secret....it's just two parts of you that are incongruent.

But again, Ross himself said he had a double life.

I wonder if having the church pray for him made JRH feel like 'well ive done what I have to do, if I keep doing it means the prayers aren't working'.
