So the specialist had to put in specific terms in to see if it comes up in the deleted history?

Why isn't the 3D baby's head inches over the car seat? Isn't that what they've been saying?

Because his head wasn't over the edge. Yes, by manufacturing specs he was a couple of inches too long for the seat (weighed much less than specs), but that doesn't mean he extended over. It's part of the bad information that is out there.

State going to rest by noon..tomorrow maybe ;)

I am soooo pleased to hear this. However,It would be much better for the defense to start Monday morning after the Jury has had a two day break. IMO

Thats what STODDARD said.

Don't mean to :deadhorse: but if the top of the car seat to where Cooper butt is sitting, is 19 1/4 inches, and Cooper is 14 inches from top of his head to his butt, that leaves 5 1/4 inches. And you can see where the straps are set .. his neck is NOT that long ross harris cs measurements straps.JPG

From bottom of rear floor to the top of the car seat is 2ft 6 1/2 inches

So, in other words, Cooper was too big for the carseat, based on manufacture recommendations, but he wasn't so big that he spilled over the edges.

Do I have that right?

Weight for car seat is 30# he was 21# 5.4 oz his total body length is 33 inches.Mfg guideline says 30 inches but he is not standing in the seat. I found articles saying that legs folded up were fine (from 2014). It safer than turning around when not large enough. JMHO I also saw where if they are within 1 inch from top they still ok.

Nope, you don't want them thinking all weekend on last thing the State said. Wonder who the State will bring in on Rebuttal? JMHO I sure the State wanted to start the day off with the SUV and end it the jury watching the 3D.

Be back later.

He is facing 8 different counts.

Ross Harris is currently facing two counts of malice murder and felony murder, cruelty to children charges, and two counts of furnishing sexually explicit material. There is also a felony count of criminal attempt on his current 8-count-indictment.

Earlier in the case the State took the death penalty off the table, however this only means that now Ross is facing life in prison if found guilty of felony murder.

All of these charges stem from a hot June day in Georgia when outside temperatures soared to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Inside a 2011 Tucson parked outside a lowly building employing techies for Home Depot in Marietta, Georgia, however, temperatures were estimated to have reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit over a seven hour work day.

During the course of that work day worker bees would be seen on surveillance footage buzzing in and out of the building, and one was even seen buzzing in and out of that car around lunch time.

Weeks later it would be discovered via phone records that, at some point in that day, inside that building sat a man with a cell phone and his exposed genitalia.

All the while, outside that building, and inside that Tucson, baked that man's 22-month-old son Cooper Harris.

Standing vs sitting has nothing to do with it. For a car seat to be safe, a child must meet ALL the requirements. Not just one. You must be under the weight, under the maximum height, and at least one inch below the top. If a child is under weight and height at 25 pounds, 28 inches tall, but has a long torso and his head is less than an inch away...that is not a safe seat. Meeting less than all requirements makes for an unsafe seat. Cooper was in an unsafe seat, because he didn't meet ALL the requirements. His height was significantly taller than the maximum height. Unsafe.

That was always a weird thing for me. Ross said he was a stickler for car seat safety, but didn't even follow the guidelines for the seat. Things that make you go hmmm. I don't actually think this info will play any part in jury decisions, it was just something that stuck out as strange to me.

Having Cooper facing away from RH is not right anyway IMO. Especially when he was talking and almost two years old. Was he too cheap to get a real seat?

I would find it hard to look my children in the face if I were disrespecting their mother by visiting prostitutes, meeting strangers in parking lots for bjs and sending pics of my junk all over the country.

JRH budgeted his money for escort dates, going out to the movies, and gas money to hook up with teenagers. And that's just the self-indulgent stuff we know of at this time.

Funny how he blames Cooper for draining his bank account. Does JRH not examine his own expenses? He makes 60k a year and his wife worked as a dietician. There's no excuse for Cooper to have not had the correct size car seat.

Rear facing for as long as possible (minimum 2 years before turning) is recommended and much, much safer. Having him rear face was just about the only thing he did right. Obviously the car seat itself was not safe, but the rear facing is the right move.

Looks like the same car seat to me.................comments on how his little head fits inside the confines of the carseat, per recommendations.......anyone..........?
His head is clearly above the back of the carseat.

My grandson is 6 months old and lives in Florida. I raised three kids there and managed not to kill them but now that I have grandkids I worry about anything and everything, lol. Anyway I just found out that the September software update for the car my daughter and her husband have his car seat in has a new feature where the climate control kicks in when the interior reaches 105 degrees F. It keeps the temp from going higher and will do so for up to 12 hours. I'd be happier if it was a degree lower but I think it's a great idea.
