She said she didn't know about the women, when it was proved she knew from the probable cause hearing. The prosecution presented that information and she had to be forced to answer from the judge.

I find any lie on stand by the person who is vouching for the character of Ross very compelling. JMO.

Okay she lied. I'll disregard all of her testimony.

Way behind but I just finished watching her testimony and completely agree with you. She came off very calculated and not very likeable at all. Towards the end when the judge tells her answer YES or NO she turns on the waterworks.. seems like a sympathy plea IMHO. I do NOT think she had any part in this but I do think she loves him still and more than her own son. Sorry just my two cents.

IMO he wanted to move from his married life to his fantasy life. He wasn't sexually attracted to LH. Plus the nagging him about did he do this or that...did you get to work? Setting up internet safety so he would be a good boy
He couldn't get it up and felt emasculated with LH.
Watching porn, sexting, prostitutes, interest in young girls....was the only time he felt like a man
Getting out of the marriage was the only way he thought he'd feel like a man

IMO his behaviors show he was unwilling or unable to fix his sex addiction. In some ways IMO he was trying to get her to divorce him. But LH will never do it. Marriage is FOREVER to her. UNLESS he was caught with a woman, then she'd takeCooper and leave JMO but it terrified him thinking he'd be stuck in a sexless marriage....having to hide his secret life FOREVER
MOO he felt stuck. If Cooper wasn't there the "glue holding them together" was gone too. He could leave and punish LH for emasculating him and threatening to punish him for wanting to feel like a man by taking his child

I do believe my Bolded part is what drove Ross to do what he did..and that is premeditated murder of a child (22 month old innocent)..Not even LeANNE wanted to believe that..although after 6 years of knowing all about his sexting ..SHE still even today refuses to believe he could do what he did! That's basically called " DENIAL" why? because if that was true it reflects on her indirectly..inability to actually know one's spouse..

Her testimony today proves she is either trying to protect ROSS or herself from judgement ..Sure many love to point out she was controlling/nagging..but after so many years of Ross's inabilities..she had to..BUT now in defence of her X-husband..she is trying to paint some sort of "Loving father" ..How about a loving "Husband" you know the faithful, open and nurturing kind that most wish for!!

I'm sure she suffered with the loss of her baby boy..but her ability to paint the false Ross to the jury just may fall on deaf ears..IMHO

Imo, he was obviously trying to imply that Leanna only divorced RH to help him out with this trial, and if she's willing to do that, she's willing to lie for him on the stand.

Problem for him is, that only gains traction if jurors don't find Leanna credible or sympathetic. I don't think Leanna gave any open minded juror a reason to disbelieve her, or to dislike her.

Oh my..I'm behind on watching and just saw the video clips of Cooper--and am bawling! Just thinking of how that little boy must have suffered, been so confused about why his caregiver was not helping...it's just almost more than I can stand!!

As I was washing dishes and listening, I couldn't help but notice LT really skirted around most answers. I got to the point when I was thinking just say yes or no. LT was very different with the State.

I feel bad for LT, she is protecting JH. She needs to be honest in her answers. JH lied to her, cheated on her, and crushed her heart. He must be one hell of a charmer/talker for her to believe anything that comes out of his mouth. She should of left him years ago.

I agree but disagree with the last part. I haven't been following this case and came in very openminded. I did not find her sympathetic or likeable at all. She seemed to be finding any way possible to make all of her answers seem favorable to ross

Yes this!! Her answers were so many obviously calculated to help Ross, not be honest. Think of cooper! Think of helping him in any way you can

I wonder if she's ever felt guilty or thought "if only I had left him after the second red flag....". I don't think she should. I think he was much sicker than she could imagine.

I didn't watch stoddard so I can't compare but I don't think she lied, I just think she did her best to make her answers helpful to protecting Ross

I thought he said no? (I would have to go back and watch, of course.) Anyway, I have a problem with any witness not telling the truth. Leanna did everything she could to not answer questions and was forced to answer at the end, basically forced into answering truthfully.

I think it's very interesting that this behavior is only intolerable when it's a prosecution witness. There should be no acceptance of this on both sides IMO.

I agree. I even posted that she seemed likable on direct- a little robotic, but maybe nervous. I actually don't think she was involved at all. She came off to me completely unlikable on cross and more than once I found myself thinking just answer the darn question- and I think the jury could have been feeling the same way IMO. She sounded like a liar to me

She offered to divorce Ross att but she did not do it so she should not sit on the witness stand and tell us that if she knew in June 2014 about his sexting and adulterous acts that she would have divorced him. She knew! She's known for years.

LH used the word escalating when relating to his sexting urges. She knew. They went to counseling about this very thing. She was NOT shocked to learn of any of the testimony provided to this jury. <<< her words

Seeing several videos and 72 photos of Cooper's smiling face; hearing his glee when the ocean lapped around his feet; watching him attempt to play the guitar and learn to talk was endearing. And, quite frankly, angered me at this parents all over again. LT does not want the father of her baby to be a known killer.

Look at it from the jury's POV, not Leanna's. If they believe she only divorced Ross to help him, then why would they believe the things she's saying on the stand that might help him? You can get a flavor of that POV right here in this thread.

IMO it's possible the warped pretrial publicity about Leanna might well be one more hurdle for the DT to overcome, but I think they and Leanna did the best job possible to debunk it today.

Maybe he couldn't answer pre-mortum just how Cooper was treated..Abuse doesn't always have physical signs. However, mother maybe should know IF her husband was. I do NOT believe he physically abused his child..until he knowingly left him to die in a VERY VERY Hot vehicle/strapped down in a carseat that was located inches from his shoulder and right arm!!

Don't believe for a minute Ross was some saddest and enjoyed torturing anybody..BUT his personal drive to get out from under responsibility both physically ( from marriage to someone he wasn't attracted to) and financially obligated to for the next 16 years! That was the bottomline line it appears as his motive for doing what he did..IMO :tantrum:

Like a lot of people, I was waiting for LH to testify but unfortunately I do not find her believable because it is so obvious that she is protecting JRH at all costs. At the end of the day, I think she invested a decade of her life in JRH and like anyone who is invested that much time, energy, and hope in someone else she will not admit that she was wrong. If I have my information correct, she took care of the bills, split the chores, helped JRH through college, and held his hand through everything even when he was betraying her and bashing her behind her back. I want very much to sympathize with her, but her obfuscating on the stand and characterizing JRH as "lost" did it in for me. The man is not "lost." He's had a six year old sexting habit (with god only knows what else) and she admitted today that she knew about it.

I think the next time I run across someone who thinks a baby will make someone grow up, I'm going to refer them to this case. It's unbelievable to me that they decided to still have a child despite having serious marital problems.

Her testimony also made me even more angry at JRH because it is not his wife's job to make sure he grows up and becomes a real boy. It's JRH's responsibility as a thirty year old married father, college graduate, IT specialist to get his crap together to ensure he fulfills his commitments to his family. If he can't do that, then he should have taken his own advice and gotten a divorce. But in the end, even to this day with his ex-wife taking the stand, it's all about saving face for JRH and avoiding responsibility for his actions.
