I hope the State shows the lunchtime video clip of the light bulb drop, then Ross's "turn and pause" while he watches the guy walk by his (Ross's) car. It shows he was concerned that the guy would spot Cooper. Very incriminating IMO. He's not clueless that Cooper's in the car.

Texting about Cooper being amazing, and he was "clueless Cooper was in the car." No. That was sent before CFA, likely on his way there.

IMO, Ross Harris is Casey Anthony with a penis.‎

Respectfully snipped. Where have you been my whole life? :)

Seriously though I agree I hope the jury gets it right. I'm not a person of faith, even in other human beings so I am kind of assuming the worst but hoping for the best.

I don't think Ross hated Cooper. I think he hated being accountable to Leanna. Cooper was collateral damage IMO

Does anyone actually believe that the cruise (or house hunting) makes Ross innocent? I find that implication insulting to my intelligence.

ETA - Now I need to hear about Ross's house hunt. I find it strange that the DT keeps harping on this because Ross did not book a cruise OR buy a house. He did not appear to be serious about moving forward with either.

Yes, Leanna did ask him to pick up lightbulbs.

Where/when? I believe in an interview Leanna was surprised that there was a search warrant and she didn't understand why they were in her bathroom. It wasn't until later that she learned Ross bought light bulbs and there were bulbs out in her bathroom.

Leanna did not ask Ross to go to Home Depot and get bulbs.

Right, but Kilgore won't say THAT!

I saw no evidence whatsoever that RH was accountable to Leanna, lol.

That's all the defense can grasp onto. No, in fact, he never responded to the cruise lady the day of Cooper's death.

Same here.

I'm not sure what people are expecting. This is a run of the mill DA who is doing his job. I think he did fantastic laying out all the FACTS which should be considered dispassionately IMO.

This isn't about anyone's feelings or being entertained. This is about Cooper Harris and how and why JRH killed him.

I agree. I think the closing was very efficient and very compelling.

Kilgore closing continued:

He moves on to deal with the prosecution assertion that Harris was living a double life. "There appeared to be a constant in both lives, and that was that he loved his little boy. ... He. Loved. That. Little. Boy."

The state said that Harris wanted to escape from Cooper so badly that he was "willing to destroy the treasure of his life. To do that, there's got to be some serious hatred ... toward that little boy. The kind that would permeate your life and come out of your pores. But not one witness has indicated anything like that.

"What evidence has the state shown you that Ross hated that little boy? Who are the witnesses who rebutted all the testimony that Ross loved his little boy more than anything?"

Hate is not a requirement for murder. Never as been never will be.

I agree, he didn't hate Cooper. I think he loved Cooper, as much as a sociopath can.

Maybe he was making 'family cruise plans' so it would look like he didn't know his kid was dying in the car?

Can you find the link? I don't remember this in testimony. TIA

It wasn't in testimony that I remember hearing.
