TRIAL Week One - Ross Harris 3 October 2016

When he said to officer "I swore I dropped him off" I felt he was lying about that.

Now he is back to crying in the car. Was quiet for awhile.

When he said he swore he dropped him off, it reminded of my kid saying yeah I am pretty sure I brushed my teeth. Or at least I think I did..

I think the point of the unedited video is to show Harris' entire demeanor while in the police car. He is just looking out of the window, watching what is going on. A lot of quiet time. Then some screaming. Quiet again. Not crying.

His screaming seems so fake to me- JMO

I believe he now realizes the trouble he is in. I'm sure he thought he would get away with this.

According to this post
, it was his habit:

Kilgore: #RossHarris habit was to go alone to chic fil a then straight to workplace-explaining why went straight there day of #hotcardeath

Yes. Ross had a habit of going alone. He did not have a habit of taking and stopping at Chick-fil-A with Cooper tho.

I could see him forgetting Cooper if he went through the drive-thru but he went inside and brought the baby too. He had to buckle him in again. Bending into the car. My back is hurting just thinking about doing that and I'm thinking his back still hurt too. He would have remembered UNBUCKLING Cooper from the car seat. He didn't say goodbye or whatever his routine thing was when he dropped him off.

Can't imagine why this tape wasn't edited down to way under one and a half hours Looong time to watch Harris in the back seat and to hear unrelated radio squawk.

Not good for the Prosecution. They are probably putting the Jury to sleep.

JMO, but I think the State could make their point about his demeanor in the car more effectively with a much shorter, edited tape. This is like watching paint dry, and it takes a lot to bore me/make me impatient when it comes to evidence of any kind.

It could also be counterproductive, actually . LE had no reason to believe Harris was guilty of anything at this point, and yet he's handcuffed in the back seat of a police car, being kept away from his son for what is already well over 30 minutes and counting, just because he cursed at an officer?

If he was crying and freaking out the entire time it would look good for the defense but he isn't doing that at all. JMO

If I accidently killed a loved one I would be VERY distraught and crying the whole time, not just random outbursts. I think those outbursts of his are finally realizing he's "toast".

The thing that I'm struggling with right now is if you are running late, and are worried about it, you normally run through what you have to do...like i have to get breakfast, run by daycare, then get to work, it will take x amount of time to do that, putting me at the office at x:xx time. "oh my gosh, I'm going to be late and I still have to drop the baby off" is what I would have been thinking leaving chick fil a.

Ok feed is back up.. What a long drive this is uh? :gaah:

@PhilHollowayEsq Why are they showing the entire recording? Most is irrelevant to this case. #HotCarDeath

They have to show it all in the interests of completeness - even the least interesting parts. Just the way trials have to be ⚖️⚖️
