*Trial set to begin (@ ET) – PA – Aubree Sherrell (23 mos) (April 27, 2018, Clairton) - *Deasha Ringgold (21) warrant issued (8/13/18) on suspicion of homicide & endangering the welfare of a child. Turned herself in & charged on 8/13/18. BF’s daughter.

*Trial set to begin (both cases) (@ 9am ET) – VA – Arieanna Day (3 mos) (Sept 12, 2018, not found, Roanoke) – *Andrew Christopher Terry (31) arrested (9/12/18) & charged (9/20/18) with illegal disposal of a body. *Trial set to begin (@ 9am CT) – TX – Debra Sue Reiding (18) (Jan. 22, 1979, Austin) – *Michael Anthony Galvan (64/25 @ time of crime) arrested & charged (5/25/18) & indicted (5/30/18) with 1 count of murder & 1 count of capital murder. $750K bond. *Trial set to begin for all (@ 8:30am ET) - OH - Shannon Elizabeth Graves (28) (Missing Feb. 2017, Youngstown; found in freezer July 2017) – *Arturo Novoa (31) indicted (8/8/17) with aggravated felony murder, felony murder, 3 counts of tampering with evidence (F3), obstructing justice (F3) & abuse of corpse (F5) (found in Arturo’s friend’s freezer). Plead not guilty; held on $1M bond. *Mahoning Cnty Case #s 2018-CR-00856 & 850
Trial set for 6/3/19.
*Katrina L. Layton charged with same charges had 2/9/18 pretrial hearing and pled guilty in deal to abuse of corpse & obstruction of justice; will get probation as long as she cooperates & testifies against Novoa at trial. She is out of jail (3/28/18) on a $20K bond own recognizance; next hearing 10/29. 4/24/18: Accused of contacting witnesses; Defendant advised that an additional condition of her bond is absolutely no contact w/any witness on case except her mother. Def. ordered to deactivate & refrain from using any social media accounts. Bond is cont'd with all previously ordered conditions in effect.*Andrew A. Herrmann (27) arrested (8/30/18) & charged (9/4/18) with 11 counts of tampering with evidence, 1 count of abuse of a corpse, 1 count of obstruction of justice & 1 count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Plead not guilty. No bond set.

*Michelle Lee Ihlenfeld (27) arrested (8/30/18) & indicted (9/1/18) with 2 counts of intimidation of crime victim/witness (between 8/13 & 8/15 of 2018), 2 counts of obstruction of justice, 1 count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Plead not guilty. $300K bond.

*Non-Trial set to begin for both (@ 8:30am ET) - FL – Daniel Eric Markel (41) (July 18, 2014, Tallahassee) - *Sigfredo Garcia (34) arrested & charged (5/25/16) with 1st degree murder, conspiracy & solicitation of murder. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DP case. Murder for Hire hit man. They split a $100K payoff for murder.
*Katherine Magbanua (32) (Garcia's wife) arrested (Oct. 2016) & charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy & solicitation of murder were brought together into one case on Tuesday (3/20/18). Plead not guilty. Held without bond. KM has rejected several offers of immunity for her testimony. *Broward County
Non Trial is set for 6/3.

*Luis Rivera (33) charged with 1st degree murder. Took a plea deal (Oct. 2016) & plead to 2nd degree murder. Will testify against Garcia & Magbanua. Will receive 19-year sentence to run concurrently with his 12 year Federal time, which he is already serving.

Olah (57) indicted (11/28/18), charged (12/4/18) & arraigned (12/6/18) with 2 counts of capital murder, 2 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 1 count of felonious assault, 1 count of 2nd degree endangerment of children & 1 count of 3rd degree endangering children. *Samantha M. Olah (26) indicted (11/28/18), charged (12/4/18) & arraigned (12/6/18) with 2 counts of murder, 2 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 1 count of felonious assault, 1 count of 2nd degree endangerment of children & 1 count of 3rd degree endangering children. Plead not guilty. $100Kcash or surety bond. Bond reduced (12/14/18) to $25K. Out on bond. #2018-CR-00758

*Trial set to begin (@ 9am ET) - NY – Michaela MacVilla (21) (Sept. 25, 2018, Canajoharie; found Oct. 2, 2018 in Oppenheim) – *Daniel A. Nellis, Sr. (45) arrested (9/30/18), indicted & arraigned (11/15/18) with 2nd degree murder, 1st degree criminal possession of a weapon & 2 counts of 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon. Plead not guilty. Held without bail. Fulton County
During the search (9/30/18) investigators arrested Nellis on felony weapons counts & possession of marijuana. While State police have said the charges are unrelated to the MacVilla investigation, the investigation into her disappearance resulted in the Nellis charges. Troopers arrested him Sept. 30, two days before her body was found. If convicted of the murder charge, Nellis would face up to 25 years to life in state prison; if convicted of the first-degree weapons possession count, he would face up to 25 years in state prison.

*Trial set to begin (@ 9am ET) - IL - Yingying Zhang (26) (missing on June 9, 2017, Urbana; not found) - *Brendt A. Christensen (28) indicted (6/30/17) on kidnapping (Federal charge) resulting in death of Yingying & 2 counts of giving false statements to FBI. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP. **Livingston County
Trial starts 6/3/19; should last about 5 weeks.

*Trial set to begin (@ 9am PT) – WA – Jay Cook (20) & Tanya Van Cuylenborg (18) (Nov. 19, 1987, Skagit County; Tanya found 11/24/87, Jay 11/26/87) – *William Earl Talbott II (55/24 @ time of crime) arrested (5/17/18) & charged (5/18/18) & indicted (6/15/18) with 2 counts of 1st degree murder. Plead not guilty (6/19/18). $2M bail. DA will not seek DP. Court# SNO-18-1-01670-31 in Skagit Cnty

Trial is set to begin 6/6 – will run about 4 weeks.
*Curtis Wayne Wright, Jr. (41) arrested (10/14/15) & charged (10/20/15) & indicted (5/5/16) with 2nd degree premeditated murder. Plead not guilty. No bond. #15-CF-000674
Took plea deal (2/26/16) plead guilty to 2nd degree murder; servicing 25 years, waives all rights to appeal. Will testify at trials.

*Trial set to begin (@ 9am CT) – IA – Jessica Lyne Gomez (26) (Aug. 4, 2017, Fort Dodge; found 8/12/17) – only for *Mackenzie Lee Knigge (26) arrested (8/10/17) & charged (9/25/17) with 1st degree murder. Plead not guilty. $1M cash bond. Webster County to Story County #FECR355601
Was original arrested in Indiana in a stolen on 8/10/17 & was extradited back to Iowa on 9/12/17.

3/25/19 Update: Trial was supposed to start, Williams instead pleaded guilty 4/22/19 Update: For Count 1 Attempt to commit murder: 25 years in prison. Count 3: Abuse of human corpse: 5 years. 5 year no contact w/immediate family of Jessica. Count 2: Accessory after the fact: 2 years.

*Trial set to begin for all (@ 1pm CT) - IN – Javon Blackwell (42), his sons Javon, Jr. (12) & Jayzon (11) (Dec. 30, 2018, Marion) – *Lemere Joseph Jones (29) arrested & charged (1/28/19) with 3 counts of murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery & armed robbery in connection with 3 deaths. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.

Jones charged with armed robbery at Family Dollar store on 12/23/18.
1/28 & 29/19 Update: All appeared for arraignment hearing & plead not guilty. Charged Sanders murder (see above). Pretrial hearing for both homicides on 4/11. Trial for Sanders’ murder is 5/13, trial for 3 deaths is 6/10. Drake posted bond & was released (1/28/19) from jail. 5/13/19: Trial continued. Pretrial hearing on 8/8, trial scheduled for 9/9.

Jury trial was cancelled on 4/23/18 for 5/29/18; and again cancelled on 5/15/18. Status hearing from 5/15/18 moved to today 6/24/19. **Polk County Jury Selection set for 6/24/19.

*Trial set to begin (@ 8:30am ET) – WI - Krista Marie Sypher (44) (March 13, 2017, Plover, not found) – *Jason Sypher (44) (DH) arrested (8/24/18) & charged (8/27/18) with 1st degree intentional homicide & hiding a corpse. Plead not guilty. $1M cash bond. Portage County Judge Thomas Eagon Case# 2018-CF-000319
Bond conditions require him to have no unsupervised contact with his children and no contact with Krista Sypher's family. He is also prohibited from applying for a passport, leaving Wisconsin and owning or possessing a dangerous weapon. 3/31/18: Charged after K9 dogs detect human remains in his truck, bedroom, bath room drain & on laundered clothes in washing machine. Did not report her missing until 3/20/18.

*Trial set to begin (@ 8:30am CT) - TX - Sherin Mathews (3) (Oct. 7, 2017, Richardson) - *Wesley Mon Mathews (37) - indicted (1/12/18) on four felonies, capital murder, injury to a child (1st degree Felony), abandoning a child and tampering with physical evidence; was bond at $1M, now at $2.25M & reduced on 8/1/18 to $1.35M. For Sini: Trial has been postponed to 4/15, as a new DA is in place. Next bond reduction hearing 1/11-denied, Status hearing on 1/28 & Motions for Severance hearing on 2/4. Trial was 3/15/19. 3/1/19 Update: The charges against Sini Mathews were dropped Friday after the district attorney said there was not enough evidence to proceed. In a letter to the 282nd Criminal District Court, the Dallas County DA wrote that "after extensive investigation it has been determined that the state cannot prove this matter beyond a reasonable doubt at this time the state respectfully requests that this case be dismissed without prejudice." She has been released from jail.

*Trial set to begin (re Interfering) – (@ 9am CT) - TX – Michael Lee Swearingin (32) & Jenna Kay Scott (28) (Jan. 4, 2019, Temple; found in Clearview, OK 1/15/19) – only for *Cedric Joseph Marks (44) (ex bf of Scott’s) arrested (1/8/19) in Kent County, Mich. for a burglary warrant, waived extradition to Texas. Charged (2/4/19), indicted (4/3/19) & arraigned (4/10/19) with interfering w/emergency call, false report to police officer, violating protective order, burglary habitation intend. Trial 6/24/19 for these charges.
*Charged (2/4/19), indicted (4/3/19) & arraigned (4/10/19) with capital murder of multiple persons, $2,016,500 Bond. ($16,500 on charges of interference with an emergency call, making a false police report & violation of a protection order, bond for the burglary charge is $250K, the murder of multiple persons is carrying a bond of $1.5 million & $250K for tampering w/evidence.).
*Charged & indicted (3/13/19) & arraigned (4/26/19) with 1st degree felony burglary (on 8/21/18 at Scott’s home). Plead not guilty to all charges. *Bell County 264th District

*Trial set to begin (@ 8:30am MT) - CO - Dylan Nicholas Redwine (13) (Nov. 19, 2012, Broomfield; found June 27, 2013 & Nov. 1, 2015 his skull) - *Mark Allen Redwine (55), "father" indicted (6-20-17) of 2nd degree murder & child abuse resulting in death. Plead not guilty. $750K bond. *LaPlata Cnty
Trial starts 9/19/19 Will probably last 4 weeks. (faces 16 to 48 years in prison if found guilty of either charge).

*Trial set to begin for both (@ 9am Hawaiian-Aleutian Time) - HI - Telma Boinville (51) (Dec. 6, 2017, Oahu) - *Stephen Brown (23) & Hailey Kai Dandurand (20) charged with 2nd degree murder, 2 counts kidnapping & 1st degree burglary. SB bail $1M, KD bail $500K; plead not guilty. Telma’s 8 yr old daughter was found bound & gagged with duct tape.
SB also plead not guilty to 4th degree criminal property charge for allegedly kicking in window out of police vehicle while being transported to police station; HK also plead not guilty to 2nd degree unauthorized entry into motor vehicle & unauthorized possession of confidential personal info; police found Boinville's bank card in her pocket.
Trial set to being on 7/1/19.

*Trial set to begin (@ 9am MT) - CO - Makayla Victoria Roberts (10) & Hannah Elizabeth Rosaline Marshall (8) (June, 2017, Norwood; found Sept. 8, 2017) – only for *Nashika Leonie Bramble (36) (from Georgia) "Mom" charged with 2 counts of 1st degree murder & 2 counts of child abuse resulting in death, bond $125K; pled not guilty.

*Trial set to begin (@ 8:30am ET) - OH - Pike County 8 people dead: Christopher Rhoden, Sr. (40), his ex-wife, Dana Manley Rhoden (37), their three children, Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden (20), Christopher Jr. (16), Hanna Mae (19); Frankie's fiancée, Hannah Hazel Gilley (20), Christopher Rhoden Sr.'s brother, Kenneth Rhoden (44), & a cousin, Gary Rhoden (38). Hanna Rhoden's baby girl (5 days old), another baby (6 mos) and a young child (3) were unharmed. (April 21-22, 2016, Pebbles) – Only for *Rita Jo Newcomb (65) (Maternal grandmother) indicted (11/12/18), arrested (11/13/18), charged & arraigned (11/15/18) with 3 counts forgery, 1 count obstructing justice & 1 count perjury. *Trial set to begin (@ am ET) - PA – Nichole Pumphrey (31), her daughter, Ameriah Emery (10) & Lawrence Cannon (31) possibly BF (Oct. 16, 2018, New Castle) – Only for *Steven Procopio (19) arrested & charged (10/17/18) with 3 counts of criminal homicide, 3 counts of criminal conspiracy, attempted murder & gun offense. Used to babysit Nichole’s kids. 4 other children in home-all safe & in custody.

*Anthony Lavon “Mook” Cooper, Jr. – Trial was set to begin 5/6, no further updates as of 5/17.
*Jody Lynn Hammer - 4/1/19 Update: All charges against Hammer have been dismissed.

NV - NV - Zaela Walker, 2, North Las Vegas, August 2018 *Arrest*

NORTH LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- North Las Vegas police have asked the public for help in locating a 2-year-old girl who was reported missing in August 2018.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of Mission Cantina Avenue on Aug. 25 in regards to a missing child, North Las Vegas police said. Zalea Walker was reportedly last seen with her parents, Lakeia Walker, 27, and Ricky Beasley, 27, in North Las Vegas.


On Nov. 17, Texas Department of Public Safety officers came into contact with the parents, but Zalea was not with them, police said. Both Walker and Beasley said they did not know where their daughter was and were uncooperative with law enforcement.

Detectives with North Las Vegas police are looking for any information on Zalea's whereabouts. Police said they were hopeful the girl was left in the care "of an unknown associate of Lakeia and Ricky in the Las Vegas Valley."

Sherin Mathews, age 3 was reported missing on October 7, 2017 sometime after 8 am.

Sherin is 3 feet tall and weighs 22 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Last seen around 3am in the 900 block of Sunningdale in Richardson Texas, around 3 a.m. Last seen wearing a pink top and black pajama bottoms.

Her father told police he last saw her at around 3 am when he instructed her to stand by a tree about a 100 feet from her residence/property across an alley way as punishment for not drinking her milk. He claims when he went to fetch her back in around 15 minutes later she was nowhere to be found. He told them he decided to do some laundry and wait until daylight to look for her further.

Christensen (28) indicted (6/30/17) on kidnapping (Federal charge) resulting in death of Yingying & 2 counts of giving false statements to FBI. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP.
Trial started 6/3/19 with jury selection & took until 6/11/19 to pick a jury. Trial should last about a week & a half (was 5 weeks previously). Opening statements expected to start 6/12 Wednesday morning. Judge expects a verdict between June 21 and June 24. If there ends up being a sentencing phase, judge believes it would start on July 8 so the 4th of July wouldn't interfere with the process. 12 jurors & 6 alternates. (7 men & 5 women).

6/20/19 Day 7: State witnesses: Terra Bullis. (Prosecutors continue playing secret FBI recordings including one from vigil for Yingying). FBI Special Agent Greg Catey (specialist in cell phones). FBI Special Agent Andrew Huckstadt (played jail phone call between BC & his wife). Closing arguments expected Monday (6/24) morning. Prosecution expected to rest their case tomorrow morning (6/21), followed by defense's case, including testimony from Christensen's wife.
6/21/19 Day 8: Defense witnesses: Prosecutors rest their case. Defense making third motion for mistrial (denied) bud Judge Shadid did order a limiting instrution be given to jurors about any alleged previous victims. Motion for defendant's acquittal (denied), motion that the trial evidence was insufficient (denied), and motion for limiting jury instruction as to BC's state of mind (granted). Defense witnesses: Manganaro. Michelle Christensen, now Zortman (BC's ex-wife). Defense played part of the counseling center video, from March 2017. FBI Agent Manganaro. Extradited from India to U.S. (9/14/11).

Trial started 1/7/19. Dark on all Fridays. Jurors started with 8 women & 4 men; now have 9 women & 3 men (alternates started with 4 men & 2 women-alternates left 1 men & 1 woman). Took about 22 hours of deliberations for guilty verdict on all 4 counts of 1st degree murder with special circumstance.

6/18/19 Day 2: Afternoon session only. State witness: Kenneth Aranda from Hawaii via Skype (Summer's brother). Done for the day. Prosecution wants testimony from Summer's Sister, Tracy Russell, who is currently on vacation in Greece via Skype tomorrow. If not, the pros will rest in the penalty phase. Penalty phase continues on 6/19.
6/19/19 Day 3: Tracy Russell (Summer's sister via Skype from Greece). Prosecution rests. Defense calls no witnesses. Defense rests. Judge Smith gave jury instructions. Closing arguments were given by Prosecutors. Judge has to leave at 3:30pm, so Defense will begin closing tomorrow, 6/20.
6/20/19 Day 4: Defense attorney Maline gives closing arguments. Judge Smith read closing instructions to the jury. Jurors began deliberations for penalty phase of the murder trial at 11:50am PDT. Again it is stipulated jurors may select their own schedule. Jurors are instructed the verdict must be unanimous. Jurors deliberated to about 4pm (with 1 ½ hour for lunch). Deliberated for about 2½ hours. Jury deliberations continue on 6/21 at 8:30am to 10:30am (because of an appointment).
6/21/19 Day 5: Jurors started deliberations about 8:36am & went home about 10am (~ 1 ½ hrs). Back on Monday 6/24 at 9:30am.
Schedule for Penalty Phase-Week of June 24 thru 28th: Jurors have deliberated: 6/20: 11:50am to 4pm (with 1½ hr lunch) = ~2½ hrs; 6/21: 8:36am to 10am = 1½ hrs. Total ~4 hours last week.

An update on one trial that just ended.

Thursday, August 22nd:
*Sentencing Hearing (@ 9am ET) - NY – Michaela MacVilla (21) (Sept. 25, 2018, Canajoharie; found Oct. 2, 2018 in Oppenheim) – *Daniel A. Nellis, Sr. (45) arrested (9/30/18), indicted & arraigned (11/15/18) with 2nd degree murder, 1st degree criminal possession of a weapon & 2 counts of 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon. Plead not guilty. Held without bail.
Trial started 6/5/19 and ended 6/20/19. Trial is expected to last 2 weeks. 12 jurors & 2 alternates.

6/18/19 Day 10: Defense witness: Daniel Nellis. Defense called two other witnesses before resting his defense. Prosecutors are expected to call rebuttal witnesses Tuesday afternoon (no info on this) and the jury should begin deliberations on Wednesday (6/19). Trial continues on 6/19.
6/19/19 Day 11: Defense rested. Closing arguments done. Jury sent to deliberate about mid-afternoon. The jury asked for testimony read back as part of its brief deliberations Wednesday (did not mention “what” testimony). Trial continues to 6/20.
6/20/19 Day 12: Jury verdict GUILTY! Sentencing scheduled for 8/22.
