I have adult daughters and child daughters - and they have all been looked at and I can't stand it! How can a mother dress their child as something desirable? My kids are cute As Is! Even if they had a horn growing out of the middle of their forehead, I still wouldn't try to dress them in an alluring manner.

I hate to even see children in regular clothing that looks like something a teenager or adult would wear - it looks down right ridiculous and you stop to question the intelligence/morals of the parent - I have two little girls about JBR's age at her death and they wear little girl clothing.


I wonder though - if pedophiles are even attracted by such thing - aren't they after children - because they like "children"? Seems like they'd want them to look younger.

Yeah, it gets tiring to go out of your way to state something in a way that you don't get predicable answers and you get them anyway. I would call it frustrated more than defensive.

Well, I wasn't accusing you of anything or really stating your position at all...or at least didn't mean to!

But as far as the pagents go....dress them up like and you will attract what attract. I mean, it is a simple cause and effect relationship. However, the pagent mothers will defend it to the death.

Should we be able to have our girls compete in a talent contest and have them parade around in age appropriate dresses if it makes them happy? Yes. Can you reasonably predict that this will attact pedophiles? Yes.

I tell you what burns me up are all the pre-teen girls walking around with their sweats on that have sayings written across the butt. What the hell is THAT about?

What pre-teen or any woman for that matter thinks it is desirable to have "hot stuff" or "sexy kitten" written across the butt of your young daughter's clothes? It draws my attention and I am a rabid anti-pedophile.

I tell you what, if I ever catch my daughter in one of those outfits, you won't be able to read the writing because of the imprint of my size 13. But I guarantee the police won't be tring to match up someone else's shoeprint from her death scene because someone saw her wearing that across her butt and followed her out of the mall!

No matter who killed JBR, I guarantee you that it had something to do with the pagents. Either the killer saw her in one or saw an article written about her winning one.

For me it was the mannerisms, not so much the outfits. Those sexually suggestive poses and movements that her dance teacher said she was shocked to see someone (Patsy) taught her were more likely what a male would focus on. Not the outfit...

I don't KNOW what I'm about to state as fact because I'm not a pedophile, but I would think they would prefer the child to look as child-like and not adult-like as possible. Who knows...

Broodie, my adorableness...JonBenet's Mama killed her in a fit of pique, and staged a cover-up to divert attention away from herself. Patsy was stressed out about the facade she was trying to keep together...and had stressed out in the past about her daughter's toileting issues. If you look at crime statistics in the US and elsewhere, many children who are murdered and/or abused by a parent, unfortuantely, have this done to them over toileting issues. This is a fact...

Also, not only are beauty pageants for childrent NOT normal and NOT acceptable, but the way this child was dressed at the age she was was particularly horrific. The Ramseys are a very disturbed and dysfunctional family, to this day. The reason that some folks have touble "seeing" this is because they "look like such nice folks", and they have money and lots of "things" (possessions), and live in a style that some folks are envious of.

If the Ramseys lived in a trailer park and did this to their daughter, I guarantee you that Patsy would have been on death row, and John would be in jail for a very long time for being an accessory.

The autopsy stated that this was not the first time JonBenet had been abused. LE thought that she had abused JonBenet on several occasions over toileting issues. Several people who had "run-ins" with Patsy stated that she had an explosive temper that could "go off" at a moments notice when she was not getting her wqay (The "Little Girl with a Curl" syndrome...."when she was good, she was very, very good; when she was bad she was horrid...")

It is horrible to think that a mother could be so angry and narcissistic that she could do this to her daughter; that's why some folks would rather think about a stranger-pedophile committing this crime...It's easier to process than a priveleged mother committing this crime, but it is not the truth....
