I won't pretend to know or understand the intricacies or politics involved here. I am only seeing it from a humanity standpoint.

It's heart breaking and I cannot imagine how his family feels hearing the details. Wondering where his body is, if each new rumor is true, if the pictures are true.

It's awful and it's got to be torture for them. That's all I can even think about when I see these headlines. It just makes me sick to think about his family.

The threat of death if he didn't comply with the charade probably focused him a bit. The whole meeting is just state propaganda by the Saudis.

That's absolutely disgusting but I guess it could have been worse ... the poor man's head on a platter. Oh, its for the crown prince so it would have to be a golden platter. This is something straight out of a horror movie.

I don’t know that it could have been worse, tbh. He was obviously brutally and mercilessly tortured.

The ones that are Saudi citizens must be very very worried.

No bloodthirsty feudal lord likes to make a martyr of a foe, and removing all his lineage has often been part and parcel of the vanquishing.

I am very concerned that the sons are going to be falsely threatened with dissent and activities against the state and imprisoned, or worse at some time in the future.

The other shots in this video show a member of the Royal Guard, gun in hand standing right next to MBS and facing the son. No wonder Salah's face is pale and hard. This was basically done at gunpoint.

They probably had no idea what shoes he would be wearing until he actually turned up on the day. They could have used JK's shoes but they probably either didn't fit or were covered in blood and not usable.

As you say it's very sloppy but they probably thought it was enough to pass off as JK in some grainy CCTV images.

It could also have been a botched kidnap. That would give them limited time to put together this plan. I don't think that's a very likely theory to be honest but it would explain the shoddy plan to try and get away with it.

I agree, it's much more likely they just wouldn't fit the body double. Was just putting another possibility out there as although it's unlikely they had blood on them, it's not impossible. After all they've clearly made a right mess up of this from start to finish.

The New York Times reported that SA deployed an online army to harass Khashoggi and other critics of the kingdom on Twitter.

They also reported that efforts to attack JK and other influential Saudis, and sway public opinion against them on the social media service, included a so-called troll farm based in Riyadh and a suspected spy within Twitter that the kingdom utilised to monitor user accounts.

Twitter declined to comment. A representative from the Saudi embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Omar Abdelaziz, now living in Canada, said he and JK had been working on a series of projects together, including an exposé of the use of social media by pro-government accounts. He told the website, that his friend had been targeted on Twitter by so-called ‘electronic flies’ as they worked together on human rights campaigns.

The hackers also published what they purport is a list of ‘a thousand terrorists and spies of the Saudi regime who perform malicious activities around the world’ – complete with their phone numbers and email addresses. The summit’s website has since been taken down.

I think the female cleanup crew removed his body parts in those bins they had once they came to clean up.

Isn't there like 100 prince or possible royal successors in Saudi Arabia?

I remember a Dateline episode where 1 prince killed his longtime friend/male slave/male lover in New York.

It was like domestic violence or something. They even showed the Prince beating his friend/slave /lover in the elevator. And the guy just submissively took the blows.

He also died during that trip. And I think the prince was allowed to go back home but banished for the gay lifestyle he lead. Very sad story for the 1 killed.

Wow. Talk about an assassination.

Good thing the Turks decided to always keep a ear and eye out on Saudi Arabia.

I wonder if they will go to war soon and try to have the U.S behind them.

Turkish investigators entered shortly after the cleaners on 15 Oct.
Body parts would have been removed long before then. No doubt the reason the Saudis denied access for almost 2 weeks was because they were having critical areas painted. As the cleaners aren't wearing gloves, I can't believe they'd be picking up body parts or touching anything associated with the murder.

I've just noticed something very suspicious in two of the Daily Mail videos.

1. In the video of JK and his fianceé entering their hotel, it is not being filmed by a fixed surveillance camera as you can see slight camera movement. If the Saudis filmed it, how did it get into the hands of the Turks? If the Turks filmed it, why were they doing this before the murders?

2. The same applies to the video of the 2 men burning documents outside the consulate the day following the murders. It appears to have been filmed from the rooftop, and once again there is slight camera movement. Who filmed it and why?

Adding to my suspicions is the fact that we've read that two vehicles belonging to the consulate left the building on Oct 2. One travelled to a nearby forest and farmland while the other travelled to the city of Yalova where the holiday house is located and was driven by a member of the hit squad. How do the Turks know this? Why were the Saudis being followed on the day of the murder?

I’m seriously considering that the Turks knew this murder was going to occur and did nothing to stop it.

Add to this the fact that they say they have audio and visual recordings of the murder itself. This can only mean that the consulate was bugged, and if it was, they may well have been privy to conversations of what was going to happen. This may be the reason why they haven’t provided these recordings to anyone. They'd have a lot of explaining to do.

I think there's a lot more to this story than we know.
